    • PURPOSE:To improve the propagation characteristic and the transmission impedance and to evade damage to the unit by providing a slot to each side wall of a metal carrier forming a gap and inserting both slots of a plate spring and bridging the gap. CONSTITUTION:A slot 30 orthogonal to a strip line 10 and opened at a side wall face is provided to each of a side wall 21 of a metallic carrier forming a gap 20. Then both side ridges of a plate spring 31A in the lengthwise direction are inserted to each of slots 30 opposite to each other to make the plate spring 31A in elastic contact onto the upper inner wall of the slot 30 thereby connecting both metallic carriers 6 electrically via a plate spring 31A. Thus, the gap between a conductor ribbon 11 and the plate spring 31A as a ground conductor is decreased, the production of the resonance in a transmission broad band is blocked to improve the propagation characteristic. Moreover, the size of the gap 20 is made narrow to improve the transmission impedance and no stress is exerted to a dielectric base 7 and the possibility of the damage to the dielectric base 7 is precluded.

A pulse width discrimination part 21 outputs the signal synchronous only to a radar pulse having either one of pulse widths longer and shorter than a set value. A radar level detection part 22 outputs the signal synchronous only to either one of a receiving radar pulse equal to or more than a set level in a receiving level and a receiving radar pulse equal to or less than the set level in the receiving level. A trigger signal generating means 23 outputs a trigger signal not responding to a receiving radar pulse, when the receiving level during a period wherein the output signal of the judge part 20 is held to a predetermined level is set level or less, having a pulse width when the pulse width of the receiving radar pulse approaches the set value or less but responding to other pulse.

CONSTITUTION:A signal fed to each channel is amplified by a low noise amplifier 1, passed through a band-pass filter 2, and fed to a 1st frequency conversion part 3. This RF signal is converted into a 1st IF signal with a 1st station originated signal distributed and supplied by a three-way divider 6. At this time, the channel DELTAAZch for the difference signal of azimuth angle and the channel DELTAELch for the difference signal of high-low angle are passed through devices (phase devices 7-2, 7-3, attenuator 8) differently from the devices where the channel SIGMAch for the sum signal is routed, so that the phase matching characteristics are deteriorated by temp. change. The 1st IF signal is converted by the 2nd frequency conversion part 4 into a 2nd IF signal with a 2nd station originated signal, which is distributed and supplied by another three-way divider 9, and is fed to a phase compensation circuit 5. Upon phase compensation there, the result is passed to the next stage. According to this constitution in which the phase matching characteristics can be compensated at the final stage, it is not required to constitute the three channels in the same manner.

CONSTITUTION:Both metallic carriers 6 are connected electrically through a spring 31 in a position right under a conductor ribbon without being scarcely influenced by the working accuracy of a semicylindrical spring 31. Accordingly, an interval between a transmission line (ribbon 11) and a ground conductor (spring 31) can be made small as desired, the generation of a resonance in a transmission band of a wide area is obstructed, and the propagation characteristic is improved. Also, since there is nothing for obstructing to narrow the width of an interval 20 between adjacent microwave units 5, the gap width can be made small as desired until both side walls 21 nearly abut on each other. Accordingly, length of the ribbon 11 is shortened, and the transmission impedance is improved.

Thus, the same size as a conventional converter is adopted and excellent attenuation characteristic to a high band over the higher mode generating frequency or over is provided, then a radio wave trans mitted via the coaxial waveguide converter has an ideal transmission characteris tic whose band other than the operating band is cut off.
