A coil 1b can be energized through the slide guide member 9a and the power-feeding part 7a. With the coil 1b energized, the movable plate 2b is projected in the direction of an arrow A against the elastic force of a spring 12 while the power-feeding part 7a and the guide part 8 are guided along the guide grooves 11a, 11b of the slide guide members 9a, 10, and a hammer part 3a collides against a back part of a type on a type wheel, thereby performing printing. With the coil deenergized, the plate 2b is returned to an initial position by the recoiling strength of the spring 12 while the power-feeding part 7a and the guide part 8 are guided by the guide grooves 11a, 11b.

    • PURPOSE:To eliminate the eccentricity of a hammer body and to make it possible to perform smooth driving without backlash, by sequentially mounting a first guide, a magnetic ring, and a second guide to a base part, which is formed as a unitary body, when a plunger type hammer is manufactured. CONSTITUTION:A first guide 2c is coupled into a base 2e, which is molded as a unitary body with a striking part 2a, from the rear of a hammer 2, and pushed until the guide is contacted with a projection 2f at the base 2e. The guide is bonded to the base. Then, a ring 2b and a second guide 2c are coupled and bonded to the base 2e by the same way. Thus the hammer 2 is assembled. The hammer body 2 assembled in this way is aligned with the center A-A' of the ring. Therefore, there is no backlash when a current is conducted through a coil 10 and the hammer is moved back and forth in a stator 11, and scarce abrasion of the guides is produced.

CONSTITUTION:A groove 11' is provided over the sliding range of the guide ring 2C of a hammer 2 on the wall 11 of a stator to guide the sliding movement of the hammer 2, for example, and a lubricant is charged into the groove 11'. Oil retentivity is thus secured and fine dust, etc., infiltrating into the aperture 15 between the stator wall 11 and the hammer 2 is removed from the groove 11'.
