摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To assure tensile force and shrinkage force without embedding a tension member into a sheath and to reduce the outside diameter of a cable by coating a laminate of coated optical fiber ribbons and a ribbon-like tension member with the sheath 4 in the state of twisting the laminate thereby forming the cable. SOLUTION: The ribbon-like rod (tension member) 13 made of FRP is arranged at a center and the 8-core coated optical fiber ribbons 12 are laminated in the state of holding the rod with three sheets each of the coated fiber ribbons. While the laminate is twisted at a prescribed pitch, the laminate is coated with the sheath 14 made of a polyethylene resin to a cable form, by which the optical fiber cable of 48 cores (six sheets of 8-core ribbons) is constituted. Padding may be put between the inside surface of the sheath 14 and the laminate of the coated fiber ribbons 12 and the ribbon-like rod 13. The ribbon-like rod 13 functions also as a resistor to the shrinkage force of the sheath 14.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To insure power supply for installation work of an outdoor optical network terminal end device and easily connect to the power supply by winding feeder lines on the outer circumference of an assembling drop optical fiber cable, reversing the stranded direction of the feeder line to the stranded direction of optical units, and making differ the strand pitch from the strand pitch of the optical units. SOLUTION: A feeder line composite type optical fiber cable C is constituted so that two solid wires 3, 3 are wound on the outer circumference of an assembling drop optical fiber cable which is stranded with many optical units 2 around a plurality of supporting wires 1. The stranded direction of the solid wires 3, 3 is reverse to the stranded direction of the optical units 2, and the strand pitch is made differ from the strand pitch of the optical units 2 so as to function as a lashing wire. Consequently, without loosening the optical units 2 to be separated, the solid wires 3, 3 are used as a feeder line, and power supply can be insured regardless of the condition of the installed place of an optical network terminal end device. Hereby the cost of the installation work and branching work can be reduced inexpensively by the simple construction.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To install an optical network termination unit in an arbitrary place and to reduce wiring work hours by collecting, on a tension member, multiple optical power composite units for each of which a feeding line and an optical unit are received in a sheath. SOLUTION: In this compounding feeding line type optical fiber cable, multiple optical power composite units 32 are intertwined together around the outside periphery of a tension member 22. In each of the optical power composite units 32, a feeding line 26 and an optical unit 30 are respectively received in the inside of a sheath 31 of the outermost layer in an individual linear or twisted pair form. The optical unit 30 is formed into a cross-sectionally generally elliptical shape wherein two tension members 27 and a coated optical fiber 28 arranged parallel between them are integrated in a collective covering layer 29. On the surface of the collective covering layer 29, V-shaped slots 29a each are formed along the lengthwise direction and in the vicinity of each center of two surfaces in parallel with the arrangement surfaces of the tension members 27 and the coated optical fiber 28. The pick finding of the coated optical fiber 28 is performed by peeling off the collected covering layer 29 from the V-shaped slot 29a.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress an increase in transmission loss occurring in the temperature change of a sheath by providing the above cable with a cable body embedded with one optical fiber and two steel wires arranged to hold this optical fiber at its center within the sheath and providing the steel wires with enamel coating layers. SOLUTION: The cable body 1 comprises the sheath 3 consisting of a plastic polyvinyl chloride resin, a piece of the coated optical fiber 4 arranged at the center of this sheath 3 and two pieces of the steel wires 5 and 5 symmetrically arranged across this coated optical fiber 4. The enamel coating layers are formed on the surfaces of the two steel wires 5 and 5 and the adhesion between the steel wires 5 and 5 and the sheath 3 is adequately regulated by the enamel coating layers. The enamel coating layers consisting of 15 to 50 wt.% urethane resin and 50 to 85 wt.% epoxy resin are preferable. The increase of the transmission loss occurring in the temperature change of the sheath may be suppressed by changing their weight ratios.
