    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a deterioration diagnostic method and a deterioration diagnostic device for a CV cable, capable of reducing the influence due to a cable provided for accurately diagnosing deterioration.
      SOLUTION: In this deterioration diagnostic method for diagnosing the deterioration in a measuring objective cable, wherein a direct current is impressed on the measuring object cable 1a constituting the first phase of the CV cable and is grounded thereafter, and wherein the charge accumulated by the impression of the direct current is discharged, by impressing thereafter an alternating current to measure the residual charge amount; a difference between the first signal from the first low-pass filter 7a transmitting low-frequency components of the first current flowing in the measuring objective cable 1a by the discharge of the charge; and the second signal from the second low-path filter 7b for transmitting low-frequency components of the second current flowing in an auxiliary measuring cable 1b, constituting the second phase of the CV cable, is calculated by a differential amplifier 8, a calculated signal is processed as a signal, expressing the residual charge amount by a personal computer 10, to diagnose the deterioration of the measuring objective cable 1a.
