摘要： PURPOSE:To obtain a porous polymer particle having a large specific surface area because of its porous structure by bringing polymer particles containing a monomer and a pore-forming agent into contact with supercritical carbon dioxide. CONSTITUTION:The purpose particles are obtained by bringing polymer particles containing a monomer and a pore-forming agent into contact with supercritical carbon dioxide to remove the residual monomer and the pore-forming agent from the polymer particles. This process is desirable especially when the polymer particles are those prepared by suspension-polymerizing a mixture of divinylbenzene with glycidyl methacrylate in an aqueous medium by using 4- methyl-2-pentanol as the pore-forming agent and having excellent mechanical strengths and adsorptivity. According to the production process of the above porous polymer particles, unreacted monomer and a pore-forming agent can be effectively extracted and separated from the polymer particles by using supercritical carbon dioxide and therefore a porous polymer applicable to many fields can be produced.

Porous polymer particles are obtained for example by firstly washing the produced polymer with water and then washing it with methanol and furthermore subjecting it to Soxhlet extraction until it shows constant weight. The polymer particles can be preferably used as an adsorbent of bilirubin. Further as the amount of the precipitant, 80-150pts.wt. is used especially preferably for 100pts.wt. mixed monomer.

摘要： PURPOSE:To obtain an immobilizing carrier, consisting of DVB polymer particles having a macroporous structure and capable of readily and efficiently carrying out immobilization of enzymes, etc., for reaction of a water-insoluble substrate. The precipitating agent and unreacted monomer remaining in the particles are removed to afford the aimed macroporous DVB polymer particles having 0.25-1.65cc/g pore volume (measured by a mercury porosimter) and a pore diameter within the range of 140-2,000Angstrom . The above-mentioned particles are directly used as a carrier for immobilization without requiring activation treatment.
