    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To execute power variable operation and focusing operation at respective power variable positions by an identical driving source and to make a camera compact and inexpensive by providing the multi-focus magnification switching lens barrel of the camera executing a step-zooming action with a focusing means executing the focusing operation by moving a first and a second lens units in an optical axis direction according to the turning action of a rotating barrel. SOLUTION: The rotating barrel 3 is set so that it can be moved in the optical axis direction with respect to a fixed barrel 2 and energized backward in the optical axis direction by a coil spring 20. Then, a cylindrical cam 21 is formed around the inside wall surface of the flange part 2B of the barrel 2 and the cam pin 3B of the barrel 3 is made to abut on the cam surface of the cam 21. When the barrel 3 is rotated, it is moved back and forth in the optical axis direction with respect to the barrel 2 according to the shape of the cam surface of the cam 21. Besides, the first and the second moving barrels 4 and 5 are moved in the optical axis direction so as to execute the focusing operation. Then, the power variable operation and the focusing operation are simultaneously executed by the rotating operation of the barrel 3 by one driving source.

    • PURPOSE:To prevent optical backlash by stopping a motor at the time of completing the retreat of a photographic lens, connecting a zoom changeover switch in neutral and driving the motor for a short time again in the case that optical hysteresis occurs at the time of retreating the photographic lens to a wide side. CONSTITUTION:The title camera is provided with zooming devices 51 and 52 which switch a power transmitting path by using clutch means 50b and 50c and make the photographic lens 54 advance and retreat in virtue of the rotation in the same direction of one motor 30 to change a focal distance. When the changeover switch 66 for moving the lens 54 in a direction where the optical hysteresis occurs is disconnected in the case of making the photographic lens 54 advance or retreat in virtue of the rotation of the motor 30, a contact disconnection signal is transmitted and the rotation of the motor 30 is stopped with the contact disconnection signal. Thereafter, the motor 30 is allowed to rotate for a specified time in the case of connecting the changeover switch 66 to a neutral contact. Thus, the backlash caused by the optical hysteresis can be surely eliminated with a simple means.

    • PURPOSE:To prevent a lens barrel and inner parts from being damaged or deformed by interlocking a finder variable power mechanism with a finder interlocking member dislocated in response to the advancing and retreating of the lens barrel and interlocking an encoder with an encoder interlocking member. CONSTITUTION:The variable power mechanism of a finder 40 is interlocked with the finder interlocking member 23 dislocated in response to the advancing and retreating of the lens barrel 4, and the encoder 20 is interlocked with the encoder interlocking member 19 dislocated in response to the advancing and retreating of the lens barrel 4. When a motor rotates, the lens barrel 4 moves in the direction of an optical axis to change a focal distance. In response to the advancing and retreating of the lens barrel 4, the magnification of the finder 40 changes. Simultaneously the encoder 20 detects the position of the lens barrel 4, and photographing is performed at exposure corresponding to said focal distance. If external force is applied to the lens barrel intentionally or accidentally, it moves the lens barrel 4 in the direction of the optical axis, and by interlocking the move, the finder 40 and the encoder 20 operate. Thus damages of the lens barrel 40 or inner parts can be prevented.
