摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital camera, the drive sequence of which is changed, depending on the feeding capability of a battery. SOLUTION: The digital camera is provided with a battery characteristic discrimination circuit that discriminates the characteristic of a battery, on the basis of voltage fluctuations caused, when various mechanism sections are driven. A CPU selects either of an ordinary sequence and a power saving sequence on the basis of the battery characteristic. For example, in the case of adjusting zooming, a zoom motor and an AF motor are driven in parallel in the ordinary sequence for changing zooming and adjusting the focus. In the power-saving sequence, first the zoom motor is driven until prescribed zooming is obtained. After the zoom motor is stopped, the AF motor is driven, and the focus is adjusted at the prescribed zooming factor.
