    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet head which can lower a driving voltage applied to an ejection electrode for ink liquid droplet ejection, has a large difference of ejection performance of ink liquid droplets between the ejection time and the nonejection time, and moreover, can suitably prevent also electrical discharge or the like between electrodes.
      SOLUTION: The inkjet head has the ejection electrode for making the ink ejected by acting a static electricity to the ink while its surface is covered with an insulating layer, a liquid contact electrode arranged near the ejection electrode to be in contact with the ink, a first control means which controls an ejection electrode potential state, and a second control means which controls a potential state of the liquid contact electrode. The first control means applies a signal voltage to the ejection electrode in accordance with an ejection signal. The second control means brings the liquid contact electrode into a predetermined potential state at the time of ink ejection synchronously with the ejection signal, and brings the liquid contact electrode into a floating state at the time of ink non ejection.

      SOLUTION: The inkjet head is an electrostatic type inkjet head for recording an image corresponding to image data onto a recording medium by discharging ink including charged coloring fine particles by an electrostatic force. The inkjet head has: a discharge opening substrate where discharge openings from which the ink is to be discharged are opened; a head substrate which is arranged with a predetermined interval spaced from the discharge opening substrate and forms an ink channel between the substrate and the discharge opening substrate; ink guides arranged above the head substrate and passed through the discharge openings to have the leading ends projected to an upper part than a surface of the discharge opening substrate; and a discharge control means for controlling discharging of the ink from the discharge openings. In the case where a sectional area of the discharge opening in a plane direction of the discharge opening substrate and a sectional area of the ink guide are made S1 and S2, S2/S1 holds 0.05-0.4.

    • PURPOSE:To measure the film thickness amount of the moisture retained at the surface of a supporting body like a mirror face not generating a scattered light, by providing a parametric oscillator, an infrared sensor and a calculating part. CONSTITUTION:A laser light L1 for measuring a water layer 22 is emitted from an Nd:YAG laser 12 and a parametric oscillator 14. When the laser light L1 is incident upon the water layer 22 with a Brewster angle due to the air and water, the laser light L1 is not reflected at the surface of the water layer 22, but enters the water layer 22. Therefore, the correct amount of moisture can be measured without errors in the amount of the laser light L1. In other words, the laser light L1 advances in the water layer 22 while being absorbed by water, and is reflected at the surface of a metallic roller 20. The laser light L1, while being absorbed by water, further proceeds in the water layer 22 and emitted out from the water layer 22. The emitted laser light L2 is brought into an infrared sensor 16, whereby the amount of the light is measured. The measuring result is sent to a calculating part 18. TN calculating part 18 calculates the thickness of the water layer 22 from the difference in the amount of the laser light L2 and the reference light with using the amount of the laser light L2 when the water layer 22 is not present as a reference.
