    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the occupying space of a gas insulated switchgear by making the axial positions of the projecting sections of three phases of gas insulated branch buses protruded outward in the radial direction different from each other between adjacent phases. SOLUTION: The positions of connection flanges 5 in the axial direction, namely, in the longitudinal direction of gas insulated branch buses 3 are made different from each other. In order to position the flanges 5 in the above- mentioned way, three phases of gas insulated branch busses 3 are arranged horizontally so that the phases may be arranged horizontally in one vertical stage in the cross section perpendicular to the axial direction of the buses 3 and, at the same time, the interphase dimension d' of the portions of the buses 3 extended in parallel with the arranging direction of gas bushings 2 is made smaller than those (d) of the portions of the buses 3 extended perpendicularly to the arranging direction of the bushings 2. Therefore, the occupying space of a separated phase type gas insulated switchgear can be reduced.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the occupying space of a gas insulated switchgear by arranging the three phases of gas insulated branch buses of the switchgear, in such a way that the buses are respectively positioned to the apexes of a triangle in the cross section perpendicular to the axial direction of the buses. SOLUTION: Three phases of separated phase gas insulated branch buses 3a of second and third lines 12 and 13 are arranged in a triangular at each line, namely, to the apexes of a triangle in the cross section perpendicular to the axial direction of the buses 3a in a portion which is extended in parallel with the arranging direction of gas bushings 2. Thus, the buses 3a are housed in a space equivalent to that obtained when the buses 3a are arranged in a three-phase collected state although the buses 3a are of a separated phase type. Consequently, such a problem that the feature of the separated phase type, such as no interphase short path exists, and so on, is eliminated and the problems which are raised at the time of manufacturing, maintaining, and managing a gas insulated switchgear can be eliminated and the occupying space of the switchgear can be reduced.

    • PURPOSE:To improve reliability upon the characteristics of a phase separation type gas insulation siwtchgear, the profitability thereof and the workability thereof the composing the phase separation type gas insulation switchgear as a device including componential elements each comprising cylindrical tanks of separate phases united in all the phases inseparably from one another. CONSTITUTION:A phase separation type gas insulation switchgear(GIS) is composed as a device including componential elements each comprising cylindrical tanks 5 of separate phases united in all the phases inseparably from one another. This eliminates the need for a mounting stand onto which the tanks 5 of separate phases are assembled when the simple body of each of the componential elements is tested and consequently eliminates the need for assembly work required only for a test on the simple body except assembly work required for assembling the respective componential elements into one united body in order to form the GIS while a space between the axial lines of the tanks of separate phases under test on the simple body is invariably kept when the componential elements are assembled into the GIS, so that the characteristic of the simple body obtained through the test on the simple body are perfectly reproduced when the componential elements are assembled into the GIS even with also such a componential element as a circuit breaker wherein the space between the axial lines of the tanks of separate phases may have an influence upon the operating characteristic of the GIS.
