摘要： PURPOSE: To manufacture a ball by holding the periphery of a baseball ball core, on which threads are wound, with a holder using a pawl, immersing that ball in a coating liquid to coat the ball core with that liquid, removing excess liquid by rotating the ball and afterwards, taking it out. CONSTITUTION: At a 1st position, a supporting member 16 holds a ball 14' inside a cup-shaped recessed part 22 having a circular ring part. An air cylinder is structurally attached to a supporting holder 16 and the ball 14' is pushed up to a position 14 and engaged between pawls 26. At a 2nd position and an intermediate position, a platform 36 is positioned on an enclosure 80 and a tank system 62, and ball holders 10 and 14 are moved into the space of the enclosure 80 on liquid 116 inside a tank 78 as shown by the code 14'. In this case, when a piston rod 112 is moved up by operating the air cylinder 114 and a cup 108 is filled with liquid and moved up to the position surrounding the ball 14', the ball 14' is immersed in the liquid inside the cup and covered. After covering, the cylinder 114 moves down the piston rod 112 and the cup 108 is filled with liquid again.

摘要： PURPOSE: To judge whether the outer-periphery value of a ball to be measured is proper or not by supporting the ball to be measured so that it can rotate, bringing a disk with a target outer-periphery value into contact with the outer- periphery surface, and rotating the above ball by 360 degrees. CONSTITUTION: A cup 56 for constituting an object support device is formed at the edge part of an inclination surface 22 and a ball 17 to be measured is guided onto the cup 56 by guide members 58 and 60 and stands still. The ball 17 is supported by a sharp edge member 76 that is moved downward by an air cylinder 80. After that, a disk 94 is pressed against the ball 17. Then, in this state, the cup 56 is rotated by 360 degrees by a pinion gear 82. Since the disk 94 has an outer periphery that is equal to the target outerperiphery value of the ball 17, it is judged whether the ball 17 is proper or not according to the rotary angle of the disk 94. Based on the judgment result, a ball that does not conform to specifications is sent to a nonconforming article collection part via a discharge door 64.
