    • PURPOSE:To attain protection of the program secrecy and at the same time to quickly execute a numerical control NC program, by converting the numerical control program written in a high standard language into machine words by a compiler to store them in a ROM cassette. CONSTITUTION:At the outset, the contents of an NC program written in a high standard language like FAPT, etc., and stored in a storage medium are converted into such a format that can be easily carried out by a numerical controller by means of a compiler attached externally to the numerical control ler. The converted contents of the NC program are stored temporarily in a RAM12 and then read out to be written to a ROM in a ROM cassette 18 by a ROM writer. Then the cassette 18 is connected the numerical controller as shown by a dotted line and the contents of the cassette 18 are read out and stored in the RAM12. Then an NC action is carried out according to the NC program stored in the RAM12.
