    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sensor for monitoring a part capable of moving translationally to the sensor with respect to positions on a moving shaft.
      SOLUTION: A piston 45 in a cylinder 43 mounts the sensor 11. The sensor 11 can be moved by a magnet 49 that is arranged at a part that can be moved and is oriented in regard to the north pole and the south pole. The sensor has three reed contacts 15, 16, 17 that are oriented in parallel, and first and second reed contacts 15, 16 are arranged in one plane while the longitudinal axes are made in parallel and can be operated simultaneously by a magnetic field 51 of the magnet 49 arranged at the movable position 45. The third reed contact 17 is arranged with a distance to the plane of the first and second reed contacts 15, 16.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a position sensor that can be made active by approach to an excitation part but cannot be made active by an external magnetic field.
      SOLUTION: A set comprises the position sensor 11 and the excitation part 13. The position sensor 11 has three reed contacts 27, 28, 29 that are arranged in a triangular arrangement and are made parallel one another. The two first reed contacts in them are used to detect an excitation magnetic field doubly. The third reed contact 29 is used to generate an error signal when the sensor is made active by an external magnetic field. The excitation part 13 has three permanent magnets 17, 18, 19 arranged in a triangular arrangement equivalent to that of the reed contacts, and their polar axes are made parallel each other.
