    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure for connecting segments together, which can reduce costs to the utmost by enabling a predetermined fastening force to be surely obtained by using a simple structure, when the segments are fastened and fixed together by engaging an H-shaped or I-shaped male-side connecting metal fitting and a C-shaped female-side connecting fitting with each other.
      SOLUTION: The segments 2 and 2, which are assembled and formed into a lining body by butt-joining side end surfaces 2a and 2a to each other, are connected together by means of the C-shaped female-side connecting metal fitting 4A, and the H-shaped or I-shaped male-side connecting metal fitting 4B which is inserted into an opening 6 of the metal fitting 4A from a lateral direction so that a flange part 12 can be engaged with an engaging part 7 along a side edge of the opening 6. An elastic member 20, which is fixed and locked to either of metal fittings 4A and 4B so as to pressure-bond the butt-joint end surfaces 2a and 2a of both the segments 2 and 2 to a section between the engaging parts, is interposed in either of metal fittings 4A and 4B.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a segment connecting structure which can surely acquire a predetermined fastening force by a simple structure and reduce costs, when box-shaped steel segments are fastened and fixed together by means of an H-shaped or I-shaped connecting fitting.
      SOLUTION: Insertion holes 44 for inserting a flange portion 12 of an H-shaped or I-shaped connecting fitting 4B, and web insertion grooves 46 continuing into the insertion hole 44 are formed in the side plates 42 and 42 of the steel segments 2A and 2A, respectively; and the segments are connected together by making the connecting fitting straddle both the web insertion grooves. A one end side flange portion 14 of the connecting fitting is preinserted through the one web insertion groove, and fixed to the side plate; the other end side flange portion is protruded sideward. A rubber material 20B for pressure-bonding the side plates of the segments is provided between portions in which the other end side flange portion 12 and the side plate of the other segment are engaged with each other. The outer periphery of the rubber material is enclosed with a metal plate 30.
