    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet recording element which can print using an inkjet ink and give a high-density image on fusion-bonding.
      SOLUTION: An inkjet recording element includes a support having thereon in order: (a) a fusible, porous ink-receptive layer of fusible polymeric particles and a binder; (b) a fusible, porous ink-transporting layer of fusible, polymeric particles and a film-forming, hydrophobic binder. The invention is also directed to an inkjet printing method wherein the ink-receptive layer and/or the support, each either alone or in combination, is capable of receiving substantially all of the ink carrier liquid after the ink carrier liquid passes through the ink-receptive layer.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink jet recording element which has a protecting layer with a uniform thickness during fusion bonding.
      SOLUTION: This method for adjusting an ink jet recording element is intended for manufacturing a porous ink jet recording element with a protecting layer of uniform quality and comprises the steps to realize the following layer formation: (a) a porous image receiving layer containing a diffusive coagulant, (b) a layer containing a dispersion of particles capable of forming a particle gel with the help of the coagulant. These layers are applied to the surface of a support in the order of the described layers, (c) the diffusive coagulant is diffused in the layer containing the dispersion of particles and the layer is solidified into the particle gel and d) the element is dried and the protecting layer of uniform quality is formed on the porous image receiving layer.
