    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a useful micro pump further improving pump performance compared with a micro pump using a conventional open/close movement actuator.SOLUTION: The micro pump includes at least a first open/close drive device disposed on a pump inlet side and constituted by a conductive polymer actuator whose opening area is changed by electrochemical oxidation-reduction drive; and a second open/close drive device disposed on a pump outlet side and constituted by the conductive polymer actuator whose opening area is changed by the electrochemical oxidation-reduction drive. Open/close movement of the first open/close drive device and open/close movement of the second open/close drive device are performed with a predetermined phase difference.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drive controller capable of suspending or maintaining the displacement of an ion-conductive composition actuator at an arbitrary amount of displacement.
      SOLUTION: The drive controller 10 controls the amount of displacement of the ion-conductive composition actuator having an ion-exchange resin layer and a metal electrode layer formed on the surface of the ion-exchange resin layer and is provided with a target displacement amount storing part 13 for storing the target displacement amount of the actuator, a displacement amount detecting part 20 for detecting a measurement displacement amount, a calculating part 12 for calculating a duty ratio of PWM voltage based on a relative operational item which represents a product of a deviation between the target displacement amount and the measurement displacement amount and a relative constant and a PWM voltage generating part 11 for generating PWM voltage based on the calculated duty ratio.
