    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an arc extinguishing device in which a great reduction of cut-off time for an arc of minute current region is realized and a stable electromagnetic force for a wide region from a large current region to a small current region is secured, and the cut-off performance can be stabilized and improved, and to provide a circuit breaker equipped with the arc extinguishing device.
      SOLUTION: The movable electrode 21 is coupled in operation to a drive link 24 and the movable electrode 21 is contacted and separated from the fixed electrode 15 by the drive of the drive link 24. A blowing member 33 for pushing the arc I generated between the movable electrode 21 and the fixed electrode 15 at the time of open circuit into the movable electrode passing part of the circuit interrupter 17 is provided on the movable electrode passing part side of the drive link 24. This blowing member 33 is made a different member from the drive link 24 and is formed of a synthetic resin material having flexibility and, with the drive of the movable electrode 21, the blowing member 33 is made to bend in the opposite direction to the movement direction of the movable electrode 21 at the base portion.

At that time, a gas flow flowing to the arc extinguisher 17 is generated, and the wind pressure of the gas flow increases the movement of an arc I to the back of a magnetic plate 110. When the base end of the white-colored arc-extinguishing bar is lost, the reddish brown-colored deterioration display cylinder 22 appears, so that the deterioration of the arc-extinguishing bar may be decided on the basis of a color difference.
