摘要： PURPOSE:To provide a wooden material which is easy for chemical treatment and the effect of which is maintained for a long time by impregnating a flexible wooden board uniformly with a suitable chemical agent. CONSTITUTION:For 100 pts.wt. of ligneous fibers, 20-30 pts.wt. of synthetic resin fibers and 10-15 pts. wt. of an adhesive are used. The adhesive is applied uniformly onto the mixed fibers, and the mixture is formed into a mat of 0.5-5.0mm thickness, which is then hot pressed at 150-200 deg.C and under a pressure of 5-15kg/cm to form a board. Ligneous fibers 0.5-5.0mm in length from conifers and broadleaf trees and known synthetic resin fibers 3-10mm in length and 10-20mum in diameter are used preferably. An acrylic resin adhesive is used in many cases, and a chemical agent which evaporates gradually under atomospheric pressure is selected. Additives can also be used. Since the chemical agent, which is applied by impregnating, coating, or spraying in a liquid state, is released gradually, the board, as a building material, is protected from harmful insects and others.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a noxious insect repellent, capable of manifesting repellent effects effective against cockroaches, having the repellent effects even on attraction by heat and capable of preventing especially household appliances from being infested with the cockroaches by combining four active ingredients different in characteristics. SOLUTION: This noxious insect repellent is obtained by combining α-cyano-3- phenoxybenzyl chrysanthemate (1-50wt.%) with 2-(4-ethoxyphenyl)-2- methylpropyl-3-phenoxybenzil (1-80wt.%), o-phenylphenol (1-70wt.%) and p-t- octylphenol (1-70wt.%). The repellent has not only both contact repellency and repellency due to olfactory irritation of a volatilized gas to cockroaches but also repellent effects on attraction by heat. Since the toxicity to the cockroaches is relatively low, the cockroaches are not caused to die and a dirty feeling is not caused without leaving carcasses in apparatuses. Since the vapor pressure is relatively low, the repellent in advantageous without any malodor.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a noxious insect repellent, effective against cockroaches, having effects on attraction by heat, capable of sustaining the effects for a long period even when placed near an exothermic part of an apparatus by formulating specific ingredients therein. SOLUTION: This noxious insect repellent comprises (A) α-cyano-3- phenoxybenzyl chrysanthemate, (B) 1-ethynyl-2-methyl-2-pentenyl chrysanthemate and (C) o-phenylphenol and (D) p-t-octylphenol as active ingredients. The contents thereof in this case are preferably 1-50wt.% ingredient (A), 1-80wt.% ingredient (B), 1-70wt.% ingredient (C) and 1-70wt.% ingredient (D). Since the toxicity to cockroaches is relatively low, carcasses are not left in apparatuses. Since the vapor pressure is low, the application to household appliances installed in a living space can be made without imparting an offensive odor feeling.
