In the helmet, the under shell 4 is produced by an injection molding method; a hole portion 22 for inserting a chin strap 5a is integrally formed in the under shell 4; an engaging dent 13 is formed on the upper shell 2 side of the shock-absorbing liner 3; and an engaging projection 29 for engaging the chin strap 5a with the engaging dent 13 of the shock-absorbing liner 3 through the engaging hole 16 of the chin strap 5a is integrally formed on the under shell 4.

      SOLUTION: A U-shaped latching pin 8 and a U-shaped engaging projection part 9 are integrally formed on both sides of the inside of an approximately hemispherical helmet body 2 of the helmet 1. A pair of a hole part and an engaging hole part of a guide sheet 3 are engaged and fixed on a pair of the latching pin 8 and the engaging projection part 9. Between the guide sheet 3 and the helmet body 2, the protective shield 5 is movably arranged between the two engaging projection parts 9 and 9. The guide sheet 3 is equipped with a pair of second latching pins 15 inside the engaging hole part. The chin strap 5 is passed through a hole disposed at the lower end of the frame portion 23 of the under shell 4, and engaged with the dents 13, 14 of the impact-absorbing liner 3 with the rivet 19 passed through the penetrated holes 16, 17 of the chin strap 5. The chin strap 5 is nipped between the impact-absorbing liner 3 and the upper shell 2, and extended outside.
