    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel injection valve capable of preventing parts from being damaged due to the collision between the parts by hydraulically restricting the excessive lift of a nozzle needle during the injection period.
      SOLUTION: A fuel path 27 is formed in a control piston inserted into a cylinder 6. The fuel path 27 is opened to the outer peripheral surface of a thin shaft part 7c at one end and always communicates with a through-hole in a valve body. The other end of the fuel path 27 is opened to the outer peripheral surface of a sliding part 7a, and until the lift amount of the nozzle needle reaches a predetermined amount, closed by the inner peripheral surface of a sliding hole 6a formed in the cylinder 6. Therefore, the high-pressure side of the fuel injection valve does not communicate with a control chamber 13 through the fuel path 27. Since the other end of the fuel path 27 comes out of the sliding hole 6a and communicates with the control chamber 13 when the lift amount of the nozzle needle is equal to or larger than a predetermined amount, a bypass hydraulic circuit allowing the high-pressure side and the control chamber 13 to communicate with each other is formed by the fuel path 27.

      SOLUTION: The damper member 27 is disposed at the end of the piston head 7b of a control piston. The damper member 27 can be formed of a material such as a spring material which can be elastically deformed when a load is applied thereto. The damper member 27 has a function of damping the control piston by elastically deforming between the piston head 7b and an orifice plate 12 when the nozzle needle lifts a predetermined amount or higher. Before the lift amount of the nozzle needle reaches the predetermined amount, the damper member 27 does not come into contact with the orifice plate 12, and the damping is not applied to the movement of the control piston.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inhibit the pressure pulsation of fuel generated in an injector 1 from being transmitted to a fuel supply source without complicating processing or altering routing concerning the piping connecting the injector 1 and the fuel supply source. SOLUTION: A filter 23 for removing foreign matter contained in the fuel and a pulsation damping mechanism 27 for damping the pressure pulsation of the fuel accompanied with stop of fuel injection are arranged in a fuel receiving flow path 22 of an inlet 5 of the injector 1. With this, the pulsation damping mechanism 27 is unnecessary to be provided on the piping connecting the injector 1 and the fuel supply source and the pressure pulsation can be inhibited from being transmitted to a common rail without complicating processing or altering routing concerning the piping.
