SOLUTION: In this sound insulating wall for the expansion/contraction section of the bridge section, an expansion joint section T of the bridge section is positioned between H-shaped cross-section supports 1 and 1 which are erected at each predetermined interval in the longitudinal direction of the bridge section; and a plurality of vertical steps of sound insulating panels are mounted between the supports 1 and 1 adjacent to each other with the joint section T in between. The sound insulating panel is composed of three panel members which are connected together in such a manner as to be mutually expandable/contractible and slidable in the longitudinal direction of the bridge section; the two panel members on both sides are fixed to the adjacent panel members 1 and 1, respectively; and the intermediate panel member is slidably supported on both the panel members.
