    • PURPOSE:To make the collection efficiency of the magnetic component in raw water constant and to reduce operation cost, by a method wherein a water quality sensing apparatus is provided to the outflow pipe of treated purified water and the introducing amount of raw water and the magnetic field output of a filter medium are controlled on the basis of the sensing result. CONSTITUTION:Raw water is introduced into a magnetic filter 1 from an inflow pipe 9 and discharged from an outflow pipe 12 as treated purified water while the magnetic components in raw water are collected by a filter medium. A water quality sensor 13 is provided to the outflow pipe 12 and the treated purified water is checked in said sensor 13 while the value thereof is transmitted to a control apparatus 10. When a large amount of magnetic components are contained in the purified water, the opening degree throttling is ordered to the opening and closing valve of the inflow pipe 9 from the control apparatus 10 to reduce the introducing amount of raw water. At the same time, output increasing order is issued to a current converter 14 and the magnetic field of an exciting coil 7 is increased. In addition, when the magnetic components are reduced to a predetermined value or less, the opening degree of the valve 11 is widened while the output of the current converter 14 is attenuated and the increase of the raw water introducing amount and the attenuation of the magnetic field are carried out to increase operational efficiency.

    • PURPOSE: To separate and recover a magnetic component and a nonmagnetic one, by treating a magnetic floc containing both of magnetic and nonmagnetic components by a magnetic filtering device.
      CONSTITUTION: An organic nonmagnetic component contained in industrial waste water is formed into a magnetic floc with the aid of magnetite and a flocculant, and the magnetic floc is captured by a filter medium 5 by passing the waste water through the inside of a magnetic filter 1 equipped with the filter medium 5 consisting of fine wire rods of magnetic material and an exciting coil 7. Next, after releasing a magnetic field by interrupting the supply of electric power to the exciting coil 7 and introducing the captured floc to a backwashing tank 15, the magnetic floc is separated into a magnetic component and an organic nonmagnetic component by bubbling pressurized air introduced from a tank 14. This liquid is fed into the magnetic filter 1 again, and the magnetite being the magnetic component and the nonmagnetic organic component are perfectly separated by the filter 1 by supplying the electric power to the coil 7 and giving ultrasonic vibration to the liquid, then the separated components are respectively recovered according to the uses.

To the outside of the outside case 12, a magnet 7 magnetizing these filter media 5, 5a is further provided and a return frame 8 is arranged to the outside of said magnet. Magnetic force exerting on the filter media 5, 5a can be adjusted by changing the thicknesses of the pole pieces 6, 6a.

An all wavelength light emitter 5 irradiates light rays of fixed wavelength on turbid substance 1a and transmitted light rays are measured by a transmitted light measuring device 6 to be provided at an opposing position back of the tape 1 and the density of turbid substance (content) is measured. A magnet 8 gives magnetic force according to the nature of magnetic ingredients in turbid substance, and residual magnetism in the magnetized turbid substance is measured by a residual magnetism measuring device 9 and the content of magnetic ingredient can be perceived.

      CONSTITUTION: Washing water C containing a magnetic component discharged from a magnetic filter enters the center well 16 in the main body 15 of a receiving vessel from a conduit 17 and flowed out from the lower opening part 16a of said well 16. During this time, the magnetic component is precipitated downwardly while clarified water is raised to be discharged to a discharge port 25 from the flooding port 24 provided to the upper part of the main body 15 of the receiving vessel. The precipitated magnetic component is attracted by a magnet 19 provided to the lower outside of the main body 15 of the receiving vessel and precipitated and accumulated on the lower inner wall and the inclined bottom surface 18. When the precipitated and accumulated magnetic component is recovered, an outtake port 27 is opened in such a state that a magnetic field is generated to withdraw clarified water and, when the liquid level is lowered to the height of the magnet 19, the magnetic field is eliminated and a rotary shaft 21 is rotated to scrape and stir the precipitated and accumulated magnetic component by a stirring blade 22 and a scraper 23 while said magnetic component is recovered as a slurry from the outtake port 27.
