    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To permit stable cutting work over a long period when the cutting work is performed with a throwaway tip attached to a corner-shaving cutting tool by suppressing nicks such as chipping-off at the lower ends of cutting blades on the outer periphery of the tool and to easily manufacture the throwaway tip. SOLUTION: In a throwaway tip, particularly that formed into a generally rectangular shape on plan view where the clearance angles of flanks 12 continuing with cutting blades 11 are varied stepwise from one end to the other of each cutting blade, the clearance angle of each flank continuing with the cutting blade on each of the four sides of the tip is varied stepwise from one end to the other of each cutting blade and the flank 12c of the greatest clearance angle and the flank 12a of the smallest clearance angle adjoin at each of corners (a), (b), (c), (d) where the cutting blades cross.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stably cut an article to be cut, so that the article to be cut may be efficiently cut by a throwaway chip attached to a milling cutter, cutting work may be performed in a short time, a machining surface may be finished into a flat and neat state, a main cutting edge and a sub cutting edge in the throwaway chip may not be damaged, and corner parts may be formed into the straight state. SOLUTION: In an approximately square throwaway chip to be attached to a milling cutter 1 and provided with a main cutting edge 14 and a sub cutting edge 12, a second flank surface 11b continuing to a first flank surface 11a in the main cutting edge and having the relief angle larger than that of the first flank surface is provided, the corner angle θc of the main rake edge is set in the range of ±3 deg., the axial rake angle γa is set in the range of 25 deg. ±5 deg., and the radial rake angle γr is set in the range of ±5 deg. in a state where the throwaway chip is attached.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To smoothly cut a cutting object so as the corner of the cutting object may be close to a square without damaging the outer circumferential cutting edge with regard to a throw away type turn cutting tool having a corner cutting throw away tip fitted to the outer circumferential end of the tool body. SOLUTION: A corner cutting throw away tip 10, which is composed of cutting edges 11a, 11b of their plane figures forming nearly a parallelogram and formed in at least two linear shapes with their outer circumferential cutting edges 11 crossing each other in a way of protruding a little to the outer circumferential side and which includes a first flank 12a of a flank 12 on the outer circumferential cutting edge 11 being a small clearance angle and a second flank 12b of a larger clearance angle than that of the first flank 12a, is fitted to the outer circumference of the tool body end so that the axial rake angle is within the range of 10 deg. ±5 deg., the radial rake angle is within the range of -20 deg. +10 deg., and the radius of gyration of the tip end and the rear end of the outer circumferential cutting edge 11 may coincide by using the corner cutting throw away tip 10.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently perform cutting to an object to be cut and finish a cut worked surface to be flat by setting a rake angle in the cross direction and a rake angle in the radial direction in a specified range. SOLUTION: As a throw-away chip 10 to be used is so constructed that a second flank 11b, the clearance angle of which is larger than that of a first flank 11a is provided to be connected to the rectangular first flank 11a in a main cutting edge 11. In the case of fitting a throw-away chip 10 to a cutter 1, plural throwaway chips 10 are fitted at required spaces on the outer peripheral part of the tip of the cutter 1 in the circumferential direction in such a manner that the corner angle by the main cutting blade 11 is ±3 deg., the radial rake angle γr is i±5 deg., and the axial rake angle γa is 25' deg.+5 deg..

    • PURPOSE:To realize a rolling cutting tool which cuts a high precision cut surface high efficiently and the service life of which is prolonged by providing one upper face with a cutting edge cosisting of a circular flank and a rake and having a negative inclination to the upper face. CONSTITUTION:A front view is in a triangular shape, and one side has a positively or negatively angled rake 14 and the upper face 11 has an inclination thetaand provided with a flank 15 in a circular arc R. A ridge formed by the rake 14 and the flank 15 is a cutting edge 16, and a bolt hole 17 to insert a fastening bolt therein is provided at the center of a tip and fixed to a shank. When the tip 1 is fixed on a tip seat 22, the seat 22 and seat walls 22a, 22b or the side walls 13a, 13b of the tip 1 are formed so that the ridge of the cutting edge 16 forms a torsional angle theta1 to the axial line 0 of the shank toward the rolling rear side of the tool, and the seat 22 and the seat walles 22a, 22b are all formed at a desired angle to a radial or axial direction of the shank to meet various cutting conditions. It is thus possible for the tip cutting edge to form a large torsional angle in an axial direction of the shank.
