摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the damage of productivity as the confidential property of data is ensured when data on re-writable involatile memory is written. SOLUTION: The connection state of two change-over switches before and after decoding processing by a master ROM 22 in a microcomputer 20 is set to the (2) side during writing of first data and switched to the (1) side on and after second data writing. Thereby, decoding processing is not effected on data during first data writing and after decoding processing is made on data available on and after second data writing without fail, the data is respectively written at a flash ROM 23. Thereby, since, at first data writing, input data may be ordinary data, a work procedure is simple, a writing time is shortened, and productivity is improved. Since, on and after second data writing after delivery to a market, there is a need to use coding data, the confidential property of data is ensured and changing of data is reliably prevented.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a pressure sensor having a sensor section being introduced with a pressure from a medium to be measured through a pressure introduction port in which a pressure introduction is protected surely against damage when the pressure sensor is subjected to external impact without requiring any intricate arrangement in the pressure introduction port. SOLUTION: The pressure sensor 1 comprises a sensor section 2 for detecting pressure, a pressure introduction port 3 for introducing fuel vapor pressure into the sensor section 2, and a fixing part 5 to a vehicle. The fixing part 5 comprises a bracket 30 connectable to an appropriate part of a vehicle, and a connecting part 21 stopped at a bracket 30 provided on the cover 20 of the sensor section 2. The connecting part 21 comprises a protrusion part 22 and an umbrella part 23 forming a mushroom shape and has a fragile structure as compared with the pressure introduction port 3. Consequently, the connecting part 21 is broken earlier than the pressure introduction port 3 upon crushing of vehicle thus protecting the pressure introduction port 3 against damage.

SOLUTION: When a re-writing permission signal WFSE from an external connection device 40 connected to an ECU 10 is always ON and a writing starting command is not obtained within a given time in spite of a re-writing mode for re-writing of a memory to a microcomputer 20 being indicated, a monitoring function by the microcomputer 20 is restored and the microcomputer 20 is restarted in an ordinary mode for trouble diagnosis through new initialization. Thereafter, as long as supply of a power source is continued, re-thrusting into a re-writing mode is prohibited and an ordinary mode is maintained. This constitution properly performs desired trouble diagnosis processing between the ECU 10 and the trouble diagnosis device even when the external connection device 40 is a universal trouble diagnosis device and the operation state of a re-writing permission signal terminal is uncertain.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To judge normal combustion state/misfiring state or an abnormal state of wire harness, or the like, correctly for every cylinder of an internal combustion engine, and to specify a failed cylinder and a failed part at the time of inspection, repair or maintenance. SOLUTION: After an ignition coil 10 is driven based on an ignition command signal IGt from an ECU(electronic control unit for internal combustion engine), an ion current flowing between an ignition plug 12 and the ground is detected by means of an ion current detecting resistor 17, an operational amplifier 20, and the like, and converted through a comparator 30 into a signal which is fed through an offset means, i.e., resistors 31, 32, to produce a signal within a specified range corresponding to the ECU 40. Since the ion current signal is not fixed to the power supply voltage or the ground potential when an internal combustion engine is in normal combustion state or misfiring state, normality/abnormality of circuit can be distinguished surely and thereby a failed cylinder and a failed part can be specified easily at the time of inspection, repair or maintenance.

SOLUTION: A CPU 31 in an ECU 20 incorporates a common AD converter 32 to which a plurality of analogue signals are inputted. A CPU 31 effects AD conversion of a misfire detecting signal and a knock signal based on an ion current generated during combustion of fuel being AD-converted through given crank angler interruption and according to a priority order. In this case, the CPU 31 decides whether AD-conversion processing by AD-conversion by the AD converter 32 is normally completed. When it is decided that AD- conversion is normally not completed, processing of the AD conversion is restarted. This constitution executes AD-conversion by displacing a timing.

SOLUTION: A canister 14 collects fuel vapor generated in a tank 1 and purges collected fuel to an air intake passage 10 at the time of driving an engine 8. An electronic control unit(ECU) 51 changes an object to be detected by a pressure sensor 41 between the canister side and the tank side with a border of a control valve 20 by controlling a changeover valve 23. The ECU 51 diagnoses airtightness of the canister side and the tank side in accordance with detected pressure. The ECU 51 reciprocally changes the object to be detected by the pressure sensor 41 between the tank side and the canister side by the changeover valve 23 during a specified period of time after starting the engine 8. At this time, output of the pressure sensor 41 shows a state in accordance with existence of failure according to an order of changing of the object to be detected. The ECU 51 diagnoses failure of the pressure sensor 41 by discriminating this output state.

As a result, the supply of fuel is appropriately stopped, and sufficient negative pressure is generated to the engine to maintain the function of the brake booster. Moreover, the engine speed NE is maintained by rotational energy from a road surface to guarantee negative pressure and rapid restarting.

When a speed higher than prescribed value is detected for fixed time or more during the stoppage of the engine, the engine 10 is started. By starting the engine, sufficient surge tank negative pressure, that is, brake booster negative pressure is secured.

SOLUTION: In the case where a pressure detection device 5 is provided on a throttle body 1, plural chambers 11 to 14 are arranged between the throttle body 1 and the pressure detection device 5, comparatively narrow paths 7 to 10 communicate with the same to as to form a series of paths for pressure transmitting as a whole. The plural paths 7 to 10 communicating with arbitrary one chamber are alternately arranged so as not to be on one straight line mutually. Since air flow containing a dirty substance such as oil revolves along wall faces in the chambers 11 to 14, the dirty substance is stuck onto the wall faces and is efficiently captured so that the invasion into the pressure detection device can be surely prevented.
