摘要： PURPOSE:To enable the measurement of an equipment function and other operating the length of an optical fiber to generate a received signal delayed by a fixed time from the emission of a laser light. CONSTITUTION:A laser light emitted from a window 3 in a light transmitting system is sent direct to a condenser 5 in the light receiving system through an optical fiber 7 and the reception level thereof is observed with a photodetector 6 to learn changes in the equipment function. An equipment function is determined from the intensity P0 of a laser output from an oscillator 1 and an output voltage eR of the detector 6. On the other hand, the optical fiber 7 is so arranged as to be given the length l enough to delay the laser light incident here by the fixed time (t) so that it enters the lens 5 to determine a measuring distance. Then, a pinhole plate 14 is adapted to damp light with a larger amount of energy than that during the actual measurement of air pollutant to make it incident into the light receiving system thereby ensuring an appropriate fixed level of received signal on a monitor.
