    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress generation of vibration or the like by bringing air/water operation close to idle operation by sucking a large amount of atmospheric air in a pump at a low water level. SOLUTION: Suction pipes 34 are connected to the lower end of a column pipe 30. One end of an intake pipe 38 is communicated with an intake hole 36 drilled at the suction pipe 34, and the other end is opened to the atmospheric air through an intake valve 40. A pump unit 50 consists of a submergible motor 52, an impeller 54, and an impeller casing 56. The lower part of a pump unit 50 is fixed by locking a tapered locking part formed at the impeller casing 56 with a tapered seat part formed at the column pipe 30. The upper part of the pump unit 50 is fixed by connecting the upper end of a cable protective pipe 64 fixed at the upper end surface of the pump unit 50 to a column pipe top lid 82. An intake valve control means 42 opens and closes the intake valve 40 based on a detected signal from an impeller water level detecting means 96 which detects whether water level is above or below the impeller 54, thus it is possible to suppress air/water operation.

    • PURPOSE: To provide a lifting device which is devised to couple to and uncouple from a pump unit lifting ring in a column. CONSTITUTION: A cylinder body 30 is axially movable within a column 10. An oscillating support shaft 38 crossing a shaft at right angles is arranged on the inner side of the cylinder body 30 is provided and a hook 40 is oscillatorily suspended. A frame body lifting ring 48 is arranged at the upper part of the cylinder body 30. The lower end of the hook 40 is brought into contact with a pump unit lifting ring 22 through lifting and forms a first inclination side 40b which is inclined so that it forms the opening side of a hook engaging part 40a. A side extending obliquely upward from the hook engaging part 40a is brought into contact with the pump unit lifting ring 22 present at the hook engaging part 40a through lifting-down and the contact part forms a second inclination side 40c and inclined to be dislocated from the hook engaging part 40. Further, a notch recessed part 40d is formed in a top and when the hook 40 is inclined to a given angle, a stopper 44 is engaged therewith, and the hook 40 is held in given angle inclination.
