    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a film affixed can body for which wrinkles and cracks or the lifting of the film are prevented from generating by a method wherein an overcoat layer of a radiation curing type resin is formed on the total external periphery of the decorative film being affixed on the external surface of the can body, and the radiation curing type resin is filled in a gap at the butted part of the decorative film. SOLUTION: On the external surface of the can body of a metal can 1, a decorative film 2 comprising a thermoplastic resin 2a on one surface of which a printing layer 2b and a bonding layer 2c are formed, is affixed under a state wherein both end parts of the film 2 are butted with the bonding layer 2c. Then, on the total external periphery of the affixed decorative film 2, an overcoat layer 5 made of a radiation curing type resin, is formed, and the overcoat layer 5 is cured by irradiating radial rays to the external surface of the can 1. By this method, a gap generated between the butted end parts of the decorative film 2, is filled with the radiation curing type resin to form the overcoat layer 5, and the external surface of the can body is covered, and trouble such as corrosion of the can body, can be prevented from generating.

    • PURPOSE:To obtain a required dried state, by transferring a can body, heating it by a first induction heat coil for the bottom thereof and a second induction heat coil for the side wall connected respectively to special electric sources and further by giving a preset output according to variable speeds thereof. CONSTITUTION:A heater comprises a first coil 2 positioned facing to the bottom (b1) of a DI can body (b) transferred from a painting device A by a conveyor 1, a second coil 3 positioned facing to the side wall (b2) of the DI can body in the downstream, a first electric source 4 of the first coil 2 and a second electric source 5 of the second coil 3. And the heater is provided with a tachometer generator 11 which detects the revolutional speed of the conveyor and a control circuit 15 with a first and second transducers 13, 14 which change output of the second electric sources 4, 5 to preset values via a level transducer 12 by dint of said transmitted signals. As a result, even when the speed of the transfer conveyor for the can body with bottom applied with printed ink or other to the induction heat coil varies greatly, printed ink or other applied on the whole or a part of the can bottom and the side wall and near the joint of the bottom and the side wall become usually dry as required.

    • PURPOSE:To dry printed ink on the whole side wall for a short time, by connecting a first induction heating coil opposite to the bottom side of a can body and a second coil opposite to the side wall to separate electric sources respectively. CONSTITUTION:A heating device comprises a first coil 2 which is arranged, facing to the bottom wall (b3) of a DI can body (b) transferred by a conveyor 1, a second coil 3 which is arranged, facing to the side wall (b4) of the DI can body in the downstream, an electric source 4 for the first coil and an electric source 5 for the second coil. The first coil 2 is arranged to reciprocate, having a width W corresponding to the diameter of the can body (b) on a plate (2a) for the suspended coil. The second coil 3 is arranged to position six coils in a supporting frame (3a) within the length of the can body (b). The pitches (t1)-(t5) of the six coils are arranged for a uniform exothermic distribution, corresponding to the distribution of the wall thickness of the side wall (b4) of the can body (b). Accordingly, the side wall part with thick wall and the side wall part with thin wall of joints can be heated in a uniform temperature and hence, the side wall part with thick wall and ink or other applied near the joint obtain a required dry hardness for a short time.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a can having a beautiful image on it, by electrostatically attracting color to one side of a long continuous film, which has a clear coat layer formed on its other side, by an electrophotographic printing method, by putting a layer of adhesive onto their uppermost layer, then by temporarily fixing them, and by heat-bonding the obtained printed film to the surface of a can body. SOLUTION: After a cylindrical can 1 is formed from a metal plate, a thermoplastic resin film 2 having a printing layer is heat-bonded, via a layer of adhesive, to the can body of the can 1 heated by an induction heater 28, thereby producing a film-laminate can. In the case, by means of development units 12-15 and by an electrophotographic printing method, several kinds of color toners are electrostatically attracted to one side of the long continuous thermoplastic resin film 2, drawn from a roll 6, which has a clear coat layer formed on its other side in advance. Subsequently, by means of a development unit 16, a layer of adhesive is put onto the uppermost layer of the color toners, thereafter they are temporarily fixed by an infrared oven 21. After that, the film 2 is cut and heat-bonded to the surface of the can body as a printed film for one can.

    • PURPOSE:To obtain a can with a light diffraction pattern in an excellent state of adhesion and with excellent can-manufacturing characteristics by a combination of an adhesive layer and a base coat that produces an adhesion-retaining property in a light diffraction pattern on a surface with a curvature. CONSTITUTION:A transfer a rotary plate 12 is overlaid with a layer of silicone rubber which has projections 12a on the surface and is heated at temperatures about 200 deg.C as it is rotated. A can drum 16 which is applied with a base coat 40 is supported by two receiving rolls, which are overlaid with a layer of heat- resistant rubber, and rotated in synchronization with the rotary plate 12. The can drum 16 is heated at temperatures about 100 deg.C from the outside. A light diffraction pattern foil transfer sheet 18, consisting of a heat-sensitive adhesive layer, is attached under pressure to the can drum 16 by the action of the projections 12a of the transfer a rotary plate 12 and the light diffraction pattern foil subjected to the pressure attachment is transferred onto the can drum 16. The light diffraction pattern foil transfer sheet 18 is conveyed by a foilfeeding roll and in synchronization with the feeding rotation of the transfer a rotary plate 12 and the rotation of the can drum 16.
