Cutting edge side faces are extended along the side wall of the mouth and neck part from cutting edge tips of each cutter 11a and 12a, and in the inner cutter 11, it is inclined so as to separate from the side wall of the mouth and neck part 4 as it separates from the cutting edge tip, and in the outer cutter 12, it is inclined so as to approach the side wall of the mouth and neck part 4 as it separates from the cutting edge tip.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a bottle-shaped can wherein a mouth neck part, a shoulder part and a body part are integrally molded so as to be capable of expanding the range of the printing design applied to the outer surface of a can to the shoulder part of the can without restricting the same to the cylindrical body part of the can by directly applying printing to the outer surface of the can in the same way as the case of a conventional two-piece can.     • PURPOSE:To form the used wire electrode used in an electric resistance welding machine again to a flat shape and to reuse the same in welding by forming by compression the used wire electrode in at least the transverse direction thereof. CONSTITUTION:A used wire electrode C is recovered without cutting and is passed between compressing rolls and is thus formed by compression in such a way that the width WD of the wire electrode D is shorter than the width WC of the electrode C. The thickness TD of the electrode D is made thicker than the thickness TC of the used wire electrode TC and the width WD thereof is made 0.95-0.99W of the width of the original flat shaped wire electrode B. The electrode D is then supplied to the welding machine and is formed B' again to a flat shape by the rolling rolls in the machine. Such electrode is reused in welding.

SOLUTION: A bottle-shaped can manufacturing method comprises a process in which a thermoplastic film layer is formed on both sides of a metal sheet, and the coated metal sheet with a lubricant applied thereto is punched to form a cup, a process in which a body portion of a cup-shaped body is further reduced in diameter to form a thin-walled bottomed cylindrical can, and a process in which the bottom side of the bottomed cylindrical can is formed into the shoulder portion and the non-opened neck portion, so that a process in which the printed design is applied on an outer surface of the body portion of the can formed into a bottle shape so that the neck portion is non-opened and an end of the body portion is opened is performed after a process in which the lubricant is removed from at least the outer surface of the can and before a process the non-opened neck portion is opened to form a curled portion and a threaded portion.
