    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a layered body of color filter substrates that prevents the color filter substrates for use in liquid crystal displays from scratches or breakages to facilitate the storage or transfer thereof.
      SOLUTION: The layered body 31 is configured as follows. A removal protective layer consisting of a coating layer with a thickness of 10-20 nm is arranged on the surface of a coloring layer side in the color filter substrate formed of a basic configuration such as a black matrix 5, a coloring layer, a transparent electrode 9 and a spacer 11 on the surface of a glass substrate. A plurality of color filter substrates each arranged with the protective layer on the surface of the coloring layer side are stacked through a sheet with cushion being a foaming resin sheet which has a closed cell, an expansion ratio of ≥10 times and a thickness of 0.5-5 mm, while preventing the color filter substrates from adhering to each other.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To cool an exposure light source without using exhaust gas and to prevent temperature rise in a photomask or a substrate due to exposure.
      SOLUTION: The base 20 of an elliptic condenser mirror 12 of a ultrahigh pressure mercury lamp 11 being the light source is made of metal, on the surface of which a light absorbing film 22 is formed with a plating film 21 interposed. A reflective film 23 for short wavelength light is formed on the upper face of the light absorbing film 22. A cooling pipe 25 is attached to the back face of the base 20 of the elliptic condenser mirror 12. Only short wavelength light necessary for the exposure among the light emitted from the ultrahigh pressure mercury lamp 11 is reflected on the surface of the elliptic condenser mirror 12. Long wavelength light transmits the reflective film 23 for short wavelength light and is absorbed by the light absorbing film 22. The heat energy in the long wavelength light is discharged from the cooling tube 25 through the base 20. The heat generating from the ultrahigh pressure mercury lamp 11 is discharged before emitted to the ambient atmosphere, and as a result, the ultrahigh pressure mercury lamp 11 is cooled. The photomask or the substrate is not irradiated with long wavelength light which causes temperature rise.
