CONSTITUTION: One end of a condenser 2 which exchanges heat with water stored in a water tank 10 is connected to the outlet side of a compressor 1, and one end of a refrigerant vessel 3 is connected to the other end of the condenser 2. On the other hand, one end of a decompression device 4 is connected to the other end of the refrigerant vessel 3. One end of an evaporator 5 is connected to the other end of the decompression device 4, and the other end of the decompression device 5 is connected to the inlet side of the compressor 1. A first solenoid valve SV1 is disposed between the refrigerant vessel 3 and the decompression device 4 and, on the other hand, a second solenoid valve SV2 is disposed between the refrigerant vessel 3 and the condenser 2. During the stopping of cooling operation, the first solenoid valve SV1 is closed while the compressor 1 is being kept in an operational state, and a refrigerant is recovered to the refrigerant vessel 3 for a predetermined period of time. Thereafter, the second solenoid valve SV2 is closed, and the operation of the compressor 1 is stopped. When the subsequent cooling operation is started, the first and the second solenoid valves SV1 and SV2 are opened before starting the operation of the compressor 1.

    • PURPOSE:To increase a heating calorie to defrost and shorten a defrosting time by a method wherein in case of defrosting operation, liquid refrigerant condensed by an evaporator is made to reversely flow to a compressor after evaporation by receiving heat in a heat accumulating tank. CONSTITUTION:Liquid refrigerant condensed by radiating in an outdoor heat exchanger 7 of low temperature having frost thereon passes through a second bypass pipe 24 and oppositely returns to a compressor 1. In this case, heat for accumulation is given to a heat accumulating tank 21 at a heat exchanger 25 of the second bypassing pipe 24. With this arrangement, the refrigerant is evaporated at the heat exchanger 25, becomes gas refrigerant and returns back to the compressor 1, so that liquid refrigerant separated by each of accumulators 22 and 33 from a circulating refrigerant and stored is eliminated. A decreasing of an amount of circulating refrigerant passing through the compressor 1 is restricted, so that it is possible to perform a higher compressing work at the compressor 1 than that of the prior art.

    • PURPOSE:To facilitate confirmation work for piping error by detecting the changes in the temperature of an indoor heat exchanger and a gas branch pipe where refrigerant is distributed and indicating said changes in comparison with an on/off valve which is open when carrying out a test run in a refrigerating circulation cycle. CONSTITUTION:In a cooling cycle, a high temperature and high pressure liquefied refrigerant condensed in an outdoor heat exchanger, is turned into low temperature and low pressure refrigerant when it passes by a second motor-driven expansion valve 23 which is open, and flows into an indoor heat exchanger 22, then it is vaporized there. As a result, the indoor heat exchanger 22 is turned into low temperature state, which also turns a gas branch pipe where the vaporized refrigerant passes by into low temperature state, thus producing temperature changes. During a test run, an operation control means 42 receives each detection temperature transmitted from heat exchanger temperature sensors 31, room temperature sensors 33, and each gas branch pipe temperature sensors 32 installed to the respective indoor units A to D, and displays piping connection states on an indicator 43 based on the detection results of each temperature sensor. Therefore, this construction makes t possible to detect successively in what equipment a temperature drop is produced out of the indoor heat exchanger 22, and the gas branch pipes 19-1 to 19-4, and discriminate the piping states.

    • PURPOSE:To suppress the fluctuation in a discharge temperature to a room of an air conditioner by a method wherein during over load running, compression capacity control operation of a compressor is effected so that a condensing temperature or a vaporizing temperature at a heat exchanger on the utilization side are maintained approximately at a specified value. CONSTITUTION:A heat exchanger 10 on the heat source side and a heat exchanger 23 on the utilization side are connected to a compressor 1, compression capacity of which is variable, so that cooling circulation is practicable to form a heat pump system. The compressor 1 is run by means of compression capacity matching the demand load of the heat exchanger 23 on the utilization side through the working of an operation control means 49. An overload state amount of the heat exchanger 23 on the utilization side is detected by an overload detecting means 26. Operation of the compressor 1 is controlled by a control means 50 during overload running so that a preceding allowable state amount is maintained at a detecting overload state amount when an overload state amount of the heat exchanger 23 on the utilization side is caused to approach a limit state amount through compression capacity operation matching a demand load. This constitution maintains a condensing temperature or a vaporizing temperature at the heat exchanger on the utilization side is maintained approximately at a specified value and enables suppression of the fluctuation in a discharge temperature to a room of an air condition.

CONSTITUTION:The capacity of a compressor 1 is controlled by an inverter 2, and a delivery piping 3 and a suction piping 4 are connected to a 4-passage switching valve 5. Heating operation is effected in a way that the coolant delivered from the compressor 1 is circulated from an indoor heat exchanger 18 to an outdoor heat exchanger 8, and reversely, cooling operation is effected by reverse circulation. Upon the starting of first heating operation through ON control of an operation switch 42, after a heat exchange temperature Tc reaches a first reference temperature TR, an indoor fan 19 is driven by means of a set airflow. On the other hand, upon the starting of following operation through ON of a thermo, after the heat exchange temperature Tc reaches a second reference temperature (TR+TN) higher than the first reference temperature, control is made so that the indoor fan 19 is driven by means of a set airflow. This constitution produces a rapid heating feeling and reduces production of a cold draft feeling on the user.

CONSTITUTION:Upon starting the space heating operation after the stoppage for a long time, in a case where a crankcase heater 12 is inoperative, when an external air temperature T0 detected by an external air temperature sensor 13 is lower than a set temperature T$0, only one compressing unit 1a of a compressor 1 is started, and, at the same time, a switching valve 17 is opened, and the quantity of oil discharged from the compressor is reduced, thus suppressing the foaming of oil and preventing the reduction in the oil quantity within a casing 11 is prevented. Further, a discharged gas is returned to the suction side of the compressor 1 via a bypass passage 16 whereby the effect of preventing the reduction in the oil quantity within the casing 11 is further improved.

CONSTITUTION:A unit 1 is constructed such that a first compressor 31 whose number of revolutions can be changed under a control of inverter and a second compressor 32 whose number of revolution is constant are connected in parallel to each other and stored in a housing. Temperature of an outdoor heat exchanger 7 is detected, an outdoor control device 40 is operated and a total output frequency is reduced. That is, the second compressor 32 is stopped, and after a reduction corresponding to a frequency of an applied power supply for the second compressor is carried out, if necessary, an output frequency for the first compressor 31 is gradually reduced to get a total frequency (fo) in case of performing a predetermined changing-over operation. As a result of such a control, a reduction of compressing capability at the second compressor 32 is carried out substantially instantaneously, so that change of capacity is carried out within a short period of time, resulting in that a high pressure reaches rapidly a low pressure state in case of performing a predetermined changing- over operation.

    • PURPOSE:To permit defrosting with a simple constitution, by the constitution wherein the excessive amount of refrigerant upon effecting defrosting operation is stored in any one of a plurality of indoor heat exchangers while gas refrigerant, discharged out of a compressor, is supplied to an outdoor heat exchanger directly through the other indoor heat exchangers. CONSTITUTION:When gas refrigerant, discharged out of a compressor 1 and supplied to respective indoor heat exchangers 15, 16, passes through the specified indoor heat exchanger 15 upon defrosting operation effected by a defrosting operation control unit 31, an indoor fan 21, provided in the specified indoor heat exchanger 15, is stopped. Accordingly, the gas refrigerant is not condensed and pressure reducing effect is not applied in a motor-driven expansion valve 17, whose opening degree is controlled so as to be opened fully, and the gas is supplied to an outdoor heat exchanger 8 directly through a liquid pipe 9. On the other hand, the gas refrigerant, discharged out of the compressor 1 and supplied to the other indoor heat exchanger 16, is condensed in the indoor heat exchanger 16 and stored in the same since the opening degree of the other motor-driven expansion valve 18 is controlled to the side of a small opening degree. The gas refrigerant is supplied to the heat exchanger 8 in such a manner, whereby defrosting may be effected.
