    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic self-latching device, self-latched when a gate is moved to a closing position. SOLUTION: A latch module 22 has a structure member provided with operating handles 15 on both sides, and the structure member can be fitted to the end post 61 of a gate. A latch main body 53 of a receiving latch block 12 has a high strength magnet 54 at the lower end of a cavity forming a latch shoulder part. A latch pin 25 built in the structure member is displaced to a latch position against the pressure of a spring 26 by magnetic attraction at the gate closing position. The handles are turned to retract the latch pin against the magnetic force, thereby turning the gate to open. When the handles are pulled up, the spring holds the latch pin in the retreated position. When the handles are pulled up and the latch pin is held in the retracted position, substantially load is not applied on the pin.
