    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an edge cutting device of manhole covers capable of reliably executing edge-cutting operations on even manhole covers having different shapes and external dimensions without damaging road surfaces and therefore excellent in versatility and practicality.
      SOLUTION: The edge cutting device includes: a frame 1 extending in right and left horizontal directions; a lift means provided for a center part of the frame 1 in a right and left direction for lifting a manhole cover 4; and supports 10 for provided for both end parts of the frame 1 for receiving the load of the overall device. Each support 10 connected to the frame 1 in such a way as to be operated to slide in right and left directions and to be operated to rotate on a connecting shaft 13. By operating each support 10 to slide and to rotate according to the position and shape of a receiving frame 40 and mounting the supports 10 onto the receiving frame 40, it is possible to lift the manhole cover 4 with the receiving frame 40 as a fulcrum and to cut its edge from the receiving frame 40.
