    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a holographic device which is simple in configuration and records and reproduces data at a high speed. SOLUTION: The device includes a means for generating an object beam 2 encoded by spatial modulation with data to be stored, and means for generating a reference beam 1 spatially modulated according to predetermined configurations to produce multiplexing of the data. The means for generating the reference beam includes an optical recording medium 11B on which implemented a succession of diffractive optical elements, each introducing a distinct modulation configuration of the reference beam. A device reads the duly-stored data by using an optical recording medium 11A of the same type for generating and spatially modulating a read beam 1b. SOLUTION: This is the device in which graphical data 34 is recorded in a medium 10, and which includes a laser 9 in which a laser beam 14 to which the medium 10 is sensitive is generated and a spot 25 is projected on the medium 10, and the laser 9 is driven so as to perform sweeping movement relatively to the medium 10 during recording.
