    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a monitoring camera device with a sound source direction estimating function, capable of directly and unfailingly capturing a video image in which the direction of a sound source is indicated.
      SOLUTION: Microphones M1-M5 are attached to a frame 15, and a monitoring camera 12 and a transparent display 13 are attached to a camera attaching member 14. The camera attaching member 14 is attached to the frame 15 via a stepping motor 16. The sound source direction is estimated by using sound pressure signals outputted from the microphones M1-M5. Then, if the magnitude of a horizontal angle θ' of the estimated sound source direction is within the view field of the monitoring camera 12, a figure indicating the sound source direction θ' is displayed on the transparent display 13, and if the magnitude of the horizontal angle θ' is larger than the maximum view field, the camera attaching member 14 is rotated so that the image pickup direction of the monitoring camera 12 can be the estimated sound source direction before displaying the figure indicating the estimated sound source direction θ' on the transparent display 13.
