    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spinous process spacer for widening and maintaining the space between spinous processes which has become narrow in a spinal canal stenosis patient.SOLUTION: The spinous process spacer includes: a first member having a first barrel section arranged in between both adjacent spinous processes and provided to be capable of supporting the upper spinous process, a first upper blade section extending upward from the first barrel section, a first lower blade section extending downward from the first barrel section and provided to be capable of supporting one side surface of the upper spinous process, and capable of supporting the other side surface of the lower spinous process, and an insertion section extending from the first barrel section to the side surface; and a second member having a second barrel section having a fitting hole into which the insertion section is fitted, a second upper blade section extending upward from the second barrel section and provided to be capable of supporting the other side surface of the upper spinous process, and a second lower blade section extending downward from the second barrel section and provided to be capable of supporting the other side surface of the lower spinous process. The spinous process spacer has excellent biocompatibility since there is no possibility of damaging a ligament or a bone when operating on the spinal canal stenosis patient and is secure.
