    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a denitration method suitable for exhaust gas in a diesel engine wherein a particle filter for performing regeneration at a high temperature of ≥500°C is installed on the upstream side of a catalyst (that is, the exhaust gas whose temperature temporarily exceeds 500°C) for instance. SOLUTION: In the denitration method of diesel engine exhaust gas for reducing nitrogen oxide in the diesel engine exhaust gas by a denitration catalyst under the presence of a reducing agent, as the denitration catalyst, a heat-resistant denitration catalyst composed by containing the oxide of at least one kind of elements selected from the group of a group 15 element, Cd, Zn, Zr, Mn, Ca, Sr and Ba as an additional component in the denitration catalyst containing V 2 O 5 as an active component and at least TiO 2 as a carrier component is used.
