The developer supply container includes: a rotatable discharging member for discharging developer to the outside of the developer supply container; gears 5 and 6 that transmit drive force to the discharging member from the drive gear member 12 of the developer receiving device; and a load applying means that applies load to the gear 5 to turn the developer supply container in the setting direction with the drive force received from the drive gear member 12.
