    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for testing the operation of an ultrasonic probe by which defective spots of the ultrasonic probe can easily be specified, and which enables suitable remedies for them to be taken.
      SOLUTION: This method for testing the operation of ultrasonic probes includes: a first step for contacting a test substance 12 with an ultrasonic probe 1, and transmitting a first ultrasonic wave from an ultrasonic probe to the test substance by a first transmitting circuit 13 which is connected to the ultrasonic prob; a second step for receiving a signal of the reflected wave of the first ultrasonic wave which has been received by the test substance by a first receiving circuit 14 which is connected to the ultrasonic probe, and receiving the signal of the first ultrasonic wave which has been received by the test substance by a second receiving circuit 18 which is connected to the test substance, and a third step for comparing the signal with each normal received signal stored in a memory, and deciding whether the motion of the ultrasonic probe is normal or not based on the comparison result.

The chemical is filled in the chemical ejection section 1 by displacing the movable wall 3 by a controller section 4 to create a negative pressure state in the interior of the chemical container section 2 before the chemical is ejected.
