    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce switching frequency of an adjustment temperature of fixing means when plural kinds of recording paper are used in one printing job.SOLUTION: The image formation device 20 for forming images on plural sheets of recording paper P in accordance with a printing job comprises: image carriers 21; exposure means 25 for forming an electrostatic latent image on each image carrier 21 in accordance with image information of the printing job; development means 27 for developing the electrostatic latent image on each image carrier 21 into a toner image; transfer means 17 for transferring the toner image on each image carrier 21 onto the corresponding recording paper P; fixing means 12 for fixing the toner image onto the corresponding recording paper P by pressing and heating the recording paper P where the toner image has been transfer; and control means 100 for controlling an adjustment temperature of the fixing means 12. The control means 100 determines the adjustment temperature of the fixing means 12 for next recording paper based on paper quality information regarding the next recording paper P where the toner image is to be fixed and paper quality information regarding plural sheets of recording paper used in a printing job.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet conveyance device capable of compensating skewing of a sheet and horizontal registration with high precision irrespective of width of the sheet.
      SOLUTION: A nipping and holding position for the sheet P is set in accordance with width of the sheet P. If pressurizing rollers at the set nipping and holding position are pressurizing rollers 201e, 202e, each of the pressurizing rollers 201e, 202e is abutted on corresponding conveyance rollers 201b, 202b, respectively. A driving profile is calculated in accordance with the attitude of the sheet P detected by a sheet sensor 204, and each of pulse motors 201, 202 drives conveyance rollers 201a to 201c, 202a to 202c in accordance with the calculated driving profile. Consequently, skewing of the sheet P and horizontal registration are compensated during conveyance of the sheet P, and its attitude (the attitude shown by the solid line in the drawing) is returned to normal attitude (the attitude shown by the dotted line).

SOLUTION: The image forming device has an index mode. In the index mode, chapter partitioning pages inside one bundle of paper sheet structured of a plurality of bundled paper sheets are set.
