CONSTITUTION:Image information is inputted to each exposure device 4 to form an electrostatic latent image on each image carrying belt 1, and this latent image is developed by a developing device 6, and the developed image is transferred to the transfer paper on a belt 12 by a corona charger 15. When image recording positions and transfer positions of individual belts 1 are defined as positions P-S and positions T-W respectively and lengths of belts 1 from recording positions to transfer positions are denoted as PT and intervals of transfer positions on the belt 12 are denoted as TU, the value obtained by adding the length PT of the length on the belt 12 is equal to the length on each belt 1 with respect to relations among these positions. Thus, images on belts which are recorded at the same time are synchronized completely with times when the transfer paper passes individual transfer positions T-W, and images transferred without deviation are attained.
