      SOLUTION: The lever type connector has a connector housing; a cover 3 mounted on the connector housing, which houses a prescribed range of the electric wire and from which the electric wire is led outward; a lever mounted on the connector housing in free rotation; and a locking part 23 mounted on the cover 3, pressed by the lever and deforming in deflection toward inside of the cover 3 when the lever is rotated from a standby-position to a locking position, restoring from deflective distortion and locking the lever when the lever reaches the locking position. Maximum deflection angle α of the locking part 23 toward inside of the cover 3 in distorted state is set smaller than outward slanting angle β of the cover 3 before deflective deformation. Further, reinforcing ribs 24a, 24b, 24c, 24d, 25 are protrusively formed on an inner face of the cover 3.
