    • PURPOSE:To optimize the detection area of an illuminating type range-finding represented by an optical intervehicular distance meter. CONSTITUTION:The optical intervehicular distance meter is mounted in a running vehicle body and includes a pair of projection means 1 and reception means 2. The projection means 1 projects within a predetermined illuminating angle range a primary beam 5 including center luminous flux 3 and marginal luminous flux 4 toward a target vehicle body located in a predetermined range. The reception means 2 receives a secondary beam 10 reflected from the target object and measures the time required for the secondary beam to return, thereby measuring the intervehicular distance. The projection means 1 is provided with a liquid crystal filter 15 whereby the intensity of the marginal luminous flux 4 is variably lowered. Thereby, in a long range, the marginal luminous flux 4 is made ineffective while the center luminous flux 3 is kept effective so as to narrow an effective illuminating angle range. On the other hand, in a short range, the marginal luminous flux 4 is held effective to widen an effective illuminating angle range CA. Further, a control circuit 17 which adjusts the intensity of the marginal luminous flux 4 by controlling the liquid crystal filter 15, is provided so that the effective illuminating angle range can be set to the optimum.

    • PURPOSE:To enable a winding action by making a one-cycle action such that an open blade is carried from the second position to the first position and a closed blade vice versa both resisting respective restoring force and thereafter said blades are returned to respective initial positions through an intermediate position. CONSTITUTION:The blade-action controlling device for focal plane shutter is positioned movably between the first position to close an aperture and the second position to open the aperture. The one cycle is made such that the open blade is carried from its initial position where it is made movable from the first position to the second one while the closed blade is carried from its initial position where it is made movable from the second position to the first one through respective intermediate position where the open blade is made movable from the second position to the first one while the closed blade is from the first position to the second one, and further to respective initial positions. An open-blade driving lever 1 and a closed-blade driving lever 4 are attracted by respective electric magnets 18 when they come to a set-completing position being driven by a motor M. Consequently, the levers respectively move to and held at the first position to close the aperture, then move to and held at the second position to open the aperture. In such a way, the winking action is executed.

CONSTITUTION:This device is provided with a display means 2 displaying a video based on the input of a video signal, the rotatable optical path switching mirror 8 reflecting the video light radiated from the display means 2 to a shutter 12 through the lens 11 by advancing to an optical path changing position in an optical path from a retreating position at the time of photographing, and the light leakage preventing mechanism 29 preventing the light from being leaked from the gap between the mirror 8 and the lens 11 by the displacing action of the mechanism 29 to an observing window 3 side in accordance with the engagement of the engaging part 293 of the mirror 8 with a an engaging part 293 at the time of photographing. Thus, the monochrome video displayed on a display means 2 is recorded.
