SOLUTION: A front blade group 4 is constituted of arms 5 and 6 and blades 7, 8, 9 and 10, and a rear blade group 12 is constituted of arms 13 and 14 and blades 15, 16, 17 and 18. Cushioning members 2 and 3 are attached to a shutter bottom plate 1, and cushioning members 24, 25, 26 and 27 are attached to an auxiliary bottom plate 21. Simultaneously with or immediately after making the driving pins of the respective driving members abut on the cushioning members 2 and 3, the overhanging parts 6b and 14b of the arms 6 and 14 which are not directly coupled with the respective driving members abut on the cushioning members 26 and 24, and simultaneously with or immediately after that, the blades 7, 8, 9 and 10 of the front blade group 4 abut on the member 25 and the slit forming blade 18 of the rear blade group 12 abuts on the member 27 in the final stage of the exposure traveling in the respective blade groups 4 and 12.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a direct type focal plane shutter capable of preventing the separation of an iron piece member from an electromagnet caused by impact force when a driving member is actuated to an exposure operation starting position. SOLUTION: A press spring 12 wound to be concentric with the driving member 6 presses the iron piece 10a of the iron piece member 10 against the iron core member 15a of the electromagnet 15, at one end of the press spring 12. After releasing is attained, a setting member 13 is actuated to return by a spring 14 and when a pushing part 13b is separated from a part to be pushed 6d, the driving member 6 is turned by a driving spring 11 and stopped at the exposure operation starting position where an attaching part 6c is abutted on the jaw part 10c of the iron piece member 10. At this time, the impact force for separating the iron piece member 10 from the electromagnet 15 is exerted, but the force of the press spring 12 is exerted so as to resist the impact force, so that influence by the impact force can be made extremely small.

    • PURPOSE:To switch an image frame size on demand, even in the midst of photographing after a film is loaded in a camera body by providing a device capable of switching the image frame size. CONSTITUTION:The focal plane shutter is provided with a lever member 14 pivotally supported on a blade cover plate 7 and a pair of image frame forming members 12 and 13 connected with the lever member 14 and for forming a 1st photographing image frame and a 2nd photographing image frame having a size different from that of the 1st image frame. Furthermore, an extending projecting part is installed on the blade cover plate 7 planted on a shutter substrate 6 so as to constitute an operation area for a pair of image frame forming members 12, 13 and the lever member 14 in between the blade cover plate 7 and the camera body. And by operating the lever member 14 in one direction, the 1st image frame forming member 12 and the 2nd image frame forming member 13 are moved in an opposite direction, so that an image frame narrower than the image frame of a standard size is formed, and also by rotating the lever member 14 in the other direction, both of the 1st and 2nd image frame forming members 12 and 13 are retreated from the image frame of the standard size more outwardly, so that the image frame of the standard size is made to a usable state.

    • PURPOSE:To selectively use double light shielding only in the case of an acting state where the double light shielding is necessary by constituting a body release lever so that a double light shielding state is released in the first half area of stepwise actuation. CONSTITUTION:Since the engaging pin 7b of a 2nd blade driving lever 7 is engaged with the engaging arm 17a of a double light shielding lever 17 even when the initial setting of a 1st blade driving lever 1 and a 2nd blade energizing lever 9 is completed, the 2nd blade is positioned near an advancing limit and an image frame is doubly shielded by the 2nd blade and the 1st blade. This double light shielding state is released by the 1st stroke of a body coupling lever 47 at the time of each photographing. In the case that the double light shielding is not necessary, such as after consecutive photographing, the double light shielding action is omitted by fixing the restoring action of the lever 47 at the spot of the 1st stroke, thereby improving the adaptability for high speed consecutive photographing.

    • PURPOSE:To improve the light shielding property at a low cost by moving a slit forming blade by the engagement of a long hole and a pin being sufficient with the usual accuracy, which can be manufactured easily, as the working accuracy, and also, constituting the slit forming edge of the slit forming blade so that a part being parallel to the edge of an aperture for photographing can be obtained optionally in one or three places. CONSTITUTION:When auxiliary blades 3, 4 rotate, a slit forming blade 2 supported so as to be rotatable by caulking pins 3a, 4a starts to run from the lower part to the upper part, and starts to release the light shielding of the aperture 1a for a photographing. By following this run, an auxiliary blade 8 engaged and supported by the slit forming blade 2 and a caulking pin 8a slides against a shaft 5 by a long groove 8b and starts the rotation and movement. Also, other auxiliary blade group is supported pivotally so as to be turnable against a shaft 9, and fitted to a driving pin 7b with a pin through a cam groove provided on each blade, therefore, rotates counterclockwise by the run of the driving pin 7b. Each auxiliary blade is operated successively by the driving pin 7b and the slit forming blade 2 is run from the lower part to the upper part, and also, the aperture 1a for the photographing is opened.

    • PURPOSE: To obtain a sufficient stroke as a shutter and to realize a simple, small-sized mechanism by powering on and displacing two electrostrictive elements at the same time, rotating two sector rings in the opposite directions, and opening the sector.
      CONSTITUTION: A voltage is applied to he 1st electrostrictive element 5, whose tip is displaced counterclockwise; and a sector ring 2 is swiveled clockwise to swivel the sector 4 to the middle, thereby placing it in a half-open state. Then, a voltage is applied to the 2nd electrostrictive element 6, whose tip is displaced clockwise; and a sector ring 3 is swiveled counterclockwise to further swivel counterclockwise and place the sector 5 in a half-open state, thus completing shutter opening operation. Thus, the sector rings 2 and 3 are driven by the different electrostrictive elements, so even when the quantity of displacement of each electrostrictive element is small, a sufficient stroke is obtained as a shutter and the mechanism is simplified and reduced in size.
