摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inspect outer surfaces of heat transfer pipes by freely moving an inspecting mechanism longitudinally and laterally, even in the case of a narrowly spaced heat transfer pipe group. SOLUTION: Blades 20-1, 20-2 are spirally mounted on an outer circumferential surface of a spiral roll 21. When the roll 21 is rotated counterclockwise as shown by an arrow C1, the roll 21 advances toward the lower side of Figure while keeping contact with surfaces of heat transfer pipes 2. To the contrary, when the roll 21 is rotated clockwise, the roll 21 retreats toward the upper side of Figure while keeping contact with surfaces of the pipes 2. When such a spiral roll 21 is housed in a frame and the inspecting mechanism is connected to the frame, the inspecting mechanism can freely move in the narrowly spaced heat transfer pipe group, and the outer surfaces of the heat transfer pipes 22 can be easily inspected.

SOLUTION: The charcoal feeder 10 is provided with a belt conveyor 12 for feeding the charcoal to a mill; a casing for storing the belt conveyor 12 and provided with a discharge nozzle connected to a charcoal feeding pipe of a charcoal storage tank and leading the charcoal to a mill 4; and a side hood 31 for preventing the charcoal from dropping rearward 18 of the belt conveyor 12 in the casing. The side hood 31 is provided with a plurality of flexible bodies 54 having at least an upper part fixed and a lower part pivotable in a longitudinal direction of the belt conveyor 12. The plurality of flexible bodies 54 are arranged in a short direction of the belt convey 12 without a gap, and a lower end of the flexible body 54 and an upper end of the belt conveyor 12 have a predetermined clearance.
