    • PURPOSE: To improve responsiveness by constituting a device of a fixed partition fixing one side to a housing with the other side into slide contact with a rotary shaft, rotary partition fixing one side to the rotary shaft with the other side into slide contact with the housing, short-circuit passage and a throttle connecting a hollow cylindrical part divided into two parts by both the partitions. CONSTITUTION: Input torque is transmitted to a rotary shaft 3 through a coupling, and when the rotary shaft 3 is turned, one of hollow cylinder parts 2A, 2B, divided by a rotary partition 9 turned with this rotary shaft, is compressed. Thus, a differential pressure is generated between the hollow cylinder parts 2A, 2B, and, for instance, from the hollow cylinder part 2A of high pressure to the hollow cylinder part 2B of low pressure enlarging the volume to reduce the pressure, a viscous fluid 20 flows to pass through a short-circuit passage 10 inserted through a fixed partition 7. When the viscous fluid 20 flows to pass through the short-circuit passage 10, resistance is generated in a throttle device 11, thus to absorb a vibrating component of input torque. By the above constitution, a vibrating component of rotary torque, left as in a rotary condition, is absorbed without converting into a linear motion, and vibration can be damped without generating unnecessary inertia force.

    • PURPOSE:To calculate the viscous resistance of a substance which gets out of shape easily such as yogurt by giving forced rotational vibration to a container in which an object to be measured is contained, taking out its damping process by an electric signal and deriving a damping factor of the vibration. CONSTITUTION:By a supporting arm 13 of a support 12 erected on a base 11 of an instructing device 10, a supporting shaft 22 is supported, and an object placing base 20 becomes freely rotatable. In this state, a container in which an object to be measured is contained is placed on its object placing plate 21 and fixed so that its position is not shifted. Subsequently, the whole object placing base 20 is rotated by a prescribed angle against a plate spring 33 of a turning energizing device, and brought to free vibration therefrom. In such a way, the vibration becomes damping vibration, and its amplitude or turning period is detected by a detector 40. Next, when a damping coefficient of its detection value is brought to data processing by a microcomputer, etc., a viscous resistance of the object to be measured is calculated.

    • PURPOSE:To damp swing motions using a compact configuration by dividing a cylindrical hollow of a housing into two compartments with a protrusive wall, which is in contact with a shaft penetrating the hollow, and a plate in contact with the wall surface of the hollow, encapsulating therein a viscous fluid, and furnishing a variable throttle to constitute a resistance to the flow of the viscous fluid of an external flow path which shortcircuits the two compartments. CONSTITUTION:When a swing of the body 34 of a monitor camera rotates a housing 42 clockwise to cause a compartment A to be narrow due to movement of a vane plate 50, the oil 51 in the compartment A flows via an external flow path 52, a variable throttle 43, another external flow path 53, and further into a compartment B. At this time the throttling effect by the variable throttle 43 acting on the flow of the oil 51 forms a resistance to swings of a rotary shaft 35, and the rotational energy produced with the rotary motion of this rotary shaft 35 is absorbed by this resistance. Thus the swing motions of the body 34 of monitor camera are damped as they are without being converted into linear motion.
