    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seedling-raising medium capable of sufficiently supplying fertilizer components required for taking roots after transplantation to a planting field or the like, hardly causing temporal change of the contained fertilizer components, and hardly causing barrier to growth when raising the seedlings; and to provide a method for cultivating the plant by using the medium.
      SOLUTION: The seedling-raising medium is obtained by using granular fertilizer containing a urea-aliphatic aldehyde condensate as a fertilizer component, and having a particle diameter regulated within a specific range, and mixing the granular fertilizer with a medium base material (a water-holding material). The method for cultivating the plant uses the medium.

SOLUTION: This material for formed raised seedlings is obtained by supporting a coated agrochemical granule, comprising one or more agrochemical active ingredients having insecticidal, germicidal or herbicidal actions required after seeding and raising seedlings in a nursery box and transplanting the resultant seedlings to a paddy field such as 1-(6-chloro-3- pyridylmethyl)-N-nitroimidazolidin-2-ylideneamine, capable of suppressing the elution of the agrochemical active ingredients from the interior thereof for a prescribed period after application thereof to the field and prepared by coating the surface of, e.g. an agrochemical granule comprising the agrochemical active ingredients with a coating material consisting essentially of a thermoplastic resin on a sheetlike formed material. The formed raised seedlings are preferably arranged in a nursery box so as to be laid therein to prevent disease injuries of paddy rice after transplanting and the content of the agrochemical active ingredients is preferably 0.5-10g based on the base area (28cm length ×8cm breadth) of the nursery box.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for obtaining the subject agrochemical granules having excellent incipient dissolution suppressant ability by allowing a surfactant to adhere to the surface of the coating film of coated agrochemical granules. SOLUTION: This agrochemical granules having incipient dissolution suppressant ability are obtained by allowing a surfactant to adhere to the surface of coated agrochemical granules which are formed by coating agrochemical granules containing at least one kind of agrochemical ingredient with a coating material consisting of a synthetic resin. As the surfactant, an anion surfactant with HLB of 0.5-40, e.g. polyoxyethylene nonyl phenyl ether and the like, is preferable. As the synthetic resin, thermoplastic resins such as polymers of olefin or its copolymers and polyesters are preferably illustrated. A method for allowing the surfactant to adhere is carried out by dipping the coated agrochemical granules into a solution of surfactant consisting of the surfactant and an organic solvent, impregnation-adsorbing the solution of surfactant on the surface layer of the coating film, allowing it to adhere to the coated agrochemical granules and finally volatilizing the impregnated organic solvent. The incipient dissolution suppressant ability can be controlled by regulating the kind and the quantity of the surfactant.

    • PURPOSE:To obtain a coated granular fertilizer improved in elution of a minor element just after applying by coating fertilizer grains with a coating material composed of the powdery minor element and a highly water vapor permeable binder. CONSTITUTION:This coated granular fertilizer containing a minor element is obtained by coating grains of a slow-release fertilizer or a coated granular fertilizer with a coating material prepared by blending a powdery minor element having 1-250mum grain diameter with a highly water vapor permeable binder at (99.9:1) to (10:90) weight ratio using a jet type coater, etc. The binder is composed of a coating material (A) and/or a coating material (B). The coating material (A) is one or two or more materials selected from an olefin polymer, a copolymer containing the olefin, a copolymer containing vinylidene chloride, a diene-based polymer, waxes, petroleum resins, natural resins, oils and fats and modified materials thereof. The coating material (B) is a polyester derived from a monomer selected from epsilon-caprolactone, lactic acid and 3-hydroxybutyrate. The minor element is contained in an amount of about 0.01-30wt.% based on the whole fertilizer.
