    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inexpensively and efficiently dehydrate and effective utilize both of a sludge and a fluidized bed combustion ash as previously adding and mixing the coal fluidized bed combustion ash to the slurry as a flocculating agent or a dehydrating assistant to convert the sludge to a dehydrated cake at the time of filtering and dehydrating the sludge. SOLUTION: At the time of filtering and dehydrating the sludge, the coal fluidized bed combustion ash is previously added and mixed to the slurry as the flocculating agent or the dehydrating assistant to convert the sludge to the dehydrated cake 3.0-100wt.% coal fluidized bed combustion ash per slurry is added preferable. Aluminum sulfate iron surfate, sodium aluminate, anthsolite, slaked lime, a polymer flocculant, etc., may be added in addition to the coal fluidized bed combustion ash. The dehydrated sludge treated such a way has a solidifying action of the coal fluidized be combustion ash, and which is very excellent in handling property, enable to easily transport with a truck, etc., in a state out of a bleeding water having a shape retention and enable to appropriately use as a cement starting material.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently treat a fresh-water based dredged mud and to effectively utilize the mud as a ceramic starting material, soil conditioner, fertilizer, etc., by mixing quicklime having a specified activation coefficient and average BET specific surface area respectively with a fresh-water region mud piled at a bottom part of lake, river or reservoir, etc. SOLUTION: At the time of treating the mud piled at the bottom part of the fresh-water region such as lake, river, water passage or reservoir, quicklime having >=100ml activation coefficient and >=1.0m /g average BET specific surface area is used as the treating material and the quicklime is mixed into the mud in the fresh-water region. At this time, a collected mud is dehydrated to reduce water content till 60-100wt.% since a large amount of water content is incorporated into the collected mud. The quicklime is excellent in hydration reactivity, and the dredged mud is efficiently dried by a heat generated at the time of hydrating the quicklime by adding and mixing the quicklime into a cake-shaped dredged mud. And the quicklime is very liable to connect with a eutrophic component consisting essentially of phosphorus and nitrogen and these component is appropriately immobilized.
