摘要： PURPOSE:To rationalize the disposition of the apparatus in a reactor vessel to reduce the size of the reactor and to minimize the length of a flow passage for a primary coolant by forming an intermediate heat exchanger and electromagnetic flow coupler pump to an annular shape in proximity to the inside wall of the reactor vessel. CONSTITUTION:The annular electromagnetic flow coupler pump 4 is installed to the inner side of the reactor vessel 2 in the upper part of a core section 1 and the annular heat exchanger 5 connecting to the flow passage of the pump 4 is installed thereon. A plenum partition wall 20 of a primary system is provided under the same to segment the plenum to the low-pressure hot plenum 7 of the primary system and the high-pressure cold plenum 6 of the primary system. the pump 4, the heat exchanger 5 and the structure connecting the same are made into an integral construction and are housed in the reactor vessel 2 in proximity to the inside wall thereof. The size of the reactor structure is, therefore, reduced.

摘要： PURPOSE:To enable prevention of floating up of reactor core elements even when vertical force works on them upon occurrence of a large scale earthquake by providing a generating device of magnetic field generating a magnetic flux between an outer circumference and a central part of an entrance nozzle. CONSTITUTION:At an outer circumference and a central part of entrance nozzle 2, a ring shaped magnet 10 and a cylindrical magnet 11 are arranged respectively and a magnetic field 23 works in the radial direction (outwardly and inwardly) of the entrance nozzle 2. When a liquid metal is forcibly made to flow upward, an electromotive force is generated in the outer productive direction of the flow direction 22 of the metal and the direction 23 of the magnetic field, in order to supply an induction current 24 in the radial direction of the entrance nozzle 2, and therewith a downward force 25 works to the liquid metal in a storage part 16 by the current 24 and the magnetic field 23, and the force also works as a supporting force of reactor core elements. By this force, the reactor core elements can be firmly supported and can cope with large scale earthquakes.

The warming of the highly heat conductive Na can be prevented by the heat insulating partition plate 30.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently remove various corrosion products without enlarging a device by neatly arranging and integrating a plurality of permanent magnets of the same form having surfaces covered with nickel. SOLUTION: Permanent magnets 13 containing nickel are formed into substantially the same form, the surfaces are covered with nickel, and a plurality of such permanent magnets are neatly arranged through a nonmagnetic body and integrated together to constitute a corrosion product removing device. A removing device formed of concentrically arranged bar-like magnets is housed in the wrapper pipe 12 of a neutron shielding body 10, instead of a shielding metal, to attract and remove corrosion products. This removing device is also set in the positions of other fuel assemblies 7 and blanket fuel assemblies 9 of the shielding body 10. Consequently, since attracting actions of corrosion products by magnetic force and metal are efficiently caused at the same time, cobalt-60, cobalt-58, and manganese-54 can be surely removed with one device.
