    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent secondary contamination, in purifying contaminated soil at a position lower than an underground water level, by arranging a plurality of water pumping-up equipments sucking underground water up to a position lower than a contaminated stratum and forcibly setting a contaminated region to an air passing bed and purifying the entire contaminated region by contaminant decomposing bacteria. SOLUTION: A plurality of water pumping-up equipments 1 are arranged in a state surrounding a contaminated region (c) so that the leading end points of them become a position lower than an underground water level W1 and the contaminated region (c) to be connected to a pump 3 to suck underground water. An injection pipe 8 is connected to a decomposing bacteria soln. tank 16 containing bacteria and a bacteria activating soln. tank 17 containing a bacteria activating substance. The surface of a sand column 9 high in voids is covered with a suction pipe 10 and connected to the suction port of a pump 7 to such. air in underground. Further, the water pumping-up equipments 1 are covered with sand columns 4 and the group of the air injection pipes 5 covering the surfaces of the sand columns 4 is connected to the exhaust port of the pump 7 and air is supplied to the contaminated region (c) from the pump 7 through the sand columns 4.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To quicken the contact of a decomposition microorganism with a contaminated substance and to enable an effective purifying treatment by extracting a volatile org. compd. from a contaminated region and supplying to a purifying region by using a gas flow accessing to the purifying region through the contaminated region. SOLUTION: At first, an infection liq. containing a decomposition microorganism material is injected to the contaminated region 17 which is previously calculated and set with a liq. injection unit 11 through an injection pipe 13 having an injection port 14 to provide the purifying region 18. The gas containing the contaminated substance at the contaminated region 17 is extracted through an extraction pipe 15 embedded at the contaminated region 17 or its vicinity and having a sucking port 16 connected to a gas circulating unit 12 (including a sucking element, a component calculating element, a component regulating element and a gas infection element). A gas component of the extracted gas is properly calculated with a component calculating element, and the extracted gas is circulated again to the purified region 18 through the injection pipe 13 after adjusting the gas component with a component adjusting element if necessary.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To widely distribute a medicinal liquid into soil by including a stage for impregnating the specified point in the soil region desired to be purified with liquid contg. microorganisms and a stage for impregnating the point impregnated with the liquid with gas and executing the stage for impregnation with the gas when the water content (in per cent of dry weight) of the soil at the point impregnated with the liquid is specific times the satd. water content in per cent of dry weight. SOLUTION: The purification of the soil contg. pollutants, such as phenol, by using the microorganisms, such as J1 strains, is executed by the two stages. Namely, the specified point in the soil region to be purified is impregnated with the liquid contg. the microorganisms (such as liquid contg. dissolved oxygen) by using an impregnation device. Next, the point impregnated with the liquid is impregnated with the gas, such as air. The impregnation of the inside of the soil with the medicinal liquid contg. the microorganisms, nutrients, etc., is executed by impregnating the soil with the medicinal liquid, then impregnating the soil with the gas when the water content in per cent of dry weight of the soil is >=0.6 times the satd. water content in per cent of dry weight to distribute a small amt. of the medicinal liquid to a wide range of the soil region. The microorganism materials, etc., capable of decomposing, for example, chemical materials are used as the material for impregnation to be included in the medicinal liquid.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently purify, contaminated soil, in purifying soil contaminated with a volatile org. compd. by utilizing bacteria, by forming a purified soil region containing an org. compd. adsorbing material to a contaminated region and extracting air containing a contaminant therefrom to circulate the extracted air to the contaminated region. SOLUTION: In purifying contaminated soil, an injection soln. containing a decomposing bacteria material and a volatile org. compd. adsorbing material is injected into a contaminated soil region 17 by a liquid injection unit 11 through an injection pipe 13 to provide a purified soil region 18. Air containing the contaminant in the contaminated soil region 17 is extracted through the extraction pipe 15 embedded in the contaminated soil region 17 and connected to an air circulating unit 12. After the air component compsn. of extracted air is measured by a component measuring element to be adjusted, the extracted air is again circulated to the purified soil region 18 through the injection pipe 13. Air containing the contaminant of the contaminated soil region 17 is sucked and extracted from the injection port 14 of the injection pipe 13 to be circulated to the purified soil region 18 through the air circulating unit 12 and a suction port 16.

Sand columns 4 high in voids are formed around the water pumping-up equipments and air injection pipes covering the surfaces of the sand columns 4 are connected to the exhaust port of a pump 7 to supply air to the contaminated region (c) from the pump 7 through the sand columns 4. Further, an injection pipe 8 is connected to a decomposing bacteria soln. tank 16 and a bacteria activating soln. tank 17 to inject bacteria and a bacteria activating substance into the contaminated region (c) from an injection port. The part of the injection pipe 8 above the injection port is also covered with a sand column 9 and the suction pipe 10 covering the surface of the sand column 9 is connected to the suction port of the pump 7 to suck air in the ground.
