The transmission window 21c where the original 22 can not be attached is set in the optical path of a film projecting device at the time of shading, and the shading correction of the image read device is not performed in the state where the positive film original on which an image is formed is set.

    • PURPOSE:To make the height of a film projecting device half and to improve housing ability by making it possible to move a main body part obtained by integrally forming a film lighting part, a film setting part and a projection optical system part in a board part supporting the main body part. CONSTITUTION:The supporting arm 27 of a Fresnel lens 26 is turned clockwise by 90 deg. to be in an erect state. By pulling a locking shaft 30 this side and turning an upper main body part 20 counterclockwise by 90 deg. centering around a rotary shaft 29, the main body part 20 is allowed to be housed in a lower board part 28. In such a state, a lens 26 is held between the wall surface of the board part 28 and the lower surface of the main body part 20, so that both surfaces of the lens 26 are covered. Therefore, the lens 26 can be protected from being touched with fingers and being struck. While the upper main body part 20 is housed in the lower board part 28, the height of the device can be made the half.

The protective cover 4 and the transfer guide 10b constitute a pair of upper and lower guides which guide a sheet material from resist rolls 9a and 9b to an optimum position between a photosensitive drum 3 and a transfer charger 11. Thus, sheet material carrying guides 4 and 10b are arranged for the image carrier 3 with a high precision.

The treating liquid applying means comes into contact with the recording medium and applies the treating liquid thereto, prior to the discharge of the ink onto the recording medium P by the ink jet recording head. These means are mounted on the carriage.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To minimize ink remaining on a discharge opening face and mixture of ink in a recording head, by generating a pressure balance state after a cap ping means caps wherein a pressure in a recording means and a pressure in a suction means are nearly equal, applying a negative pressure again and open ing the cap. SOLUTION: When a center gear 66 is rotated in a clockwise direction by driving of a motor, a pendulum arm 67 interlockingly rotates, and an arm cam 64 is rotated in the clockwise direction through meshing of a pendulum gear 68 and a cam gear. As a result, a cap 71 is butted against a recording head 3 via an arm 72, and an urging force of a pressuring spring 74 is applied to tightly adhere the cap to the recording head. Thereafter, when the motor rotates opposite thereby rotating a holder 70 having a gear part 70a, a tube 73 is crushed by a roller 69 and a negative pressure is generated in the cap 71, whereby the ink is sucked from the recording head 3. A subsequent swing of the arm 72 separates the cap 71 from the recording head 3 while the minute negative pressure is kept applied in the cap 71.
