    • PURPOSE:To permit the performance of light-weight and high-performance printing by using a system in which a normally and reversely turnable motor is used, a printing ribbon is driven by normal rotation of the motor, and a correcting ribbon is driven by the reverse rotation of the motor. CONSTITUTION:When a stepping motor 12 is turned in the direction full line arrow by the control of input pulse, a shaft 21 is stopped and the other shaft 18 is driven through a pinion gear 12a, a gear 15, a pulley 16, and a belt 20. Then, a print-correcting ribbon 8 is moved in the direction of arrow, an unit 11 turns around a shaft 9b to lift up the ribbon 8 to a print-correcting position, and print is corrected. Also, when the stepping motor 12 is turned in the reverse direction, or in the direction of broken line, by the control of input pulse, the rotation is not transmitted to the drive system to operate the correcting ribbon 8 but the printing ribbon is turned in the direction of broken line through the gear 14 and the shaft 21, and the printing ribbon is delivered.

    • PURPOSE:To contrive enhancement of operability, by a method wherein a printing position for an inputted character can be confirmed when inputting a character while looking at a display screen. CONSTITUTION:With the first character inputted, a carriage 3 of a printer is moved to a left margin position. With the next character inputted through a key, the key-inputted character is displayed on a display device 2, and the displayed information is stored into a RAM 9. Further, in correspondence with a character inputted through a keyboard 1, the carriage 3 is moved to a printing position, without performing printing action. In this case, as the carriage 3 is moved, a pointer 11A of a carriage indicator 11 is also moved as one body with the carriage 3. When characters for a line are inputted, the carriage 3 is moved to the left margin position, and the one-line amount of information already stored in the RAM 9 is printed out by the printer 10. Then, it is discriminated whether or not the character (document) inputs through the keyboard 1 are entirely completed, and control is finished when all the character inputs are completed.

    • PURPOSE:To simply attach or detach a platen by a method in which the fixer of a pulse motor is provided in the face of the lower half portion of the periphery of a rotator and set in the opposite direction to its removing direction from the platen frame. CONSTITUTION:When an exciting coil 11c is excited, a relative rotating force is acted between a rotor 11a and a stator 11b, and the rotor 11a is turned. The stator 11b is pushed by a spring 16 toward the central direction of the rotor 11a in a movable manner and touched by a roller 13. EVen when a magnetic force acts between the stator 11b and the rotor 11a, no load by magnetic force is applied to the bearing 9 of the platen 1. Since the force of the spring 16 is such as to offset the weight including a slide plate 14, the load torque of the platen 1 is not increased. Furthermore, since the stator 11b is in the face of the lower half portion alone of the periphery of the rotor 11a, the platen 1 can be easily attached or detached without the needs to remove out a lead wire 4a.

    • PURPOSE:To reduce a rotary load to be driven rotatably by a pulse motor by forming the attracting of repelling surface of a stator on a portion opposed to the surface to be attracted or repelled of a rotor. CONSTITUTION:When a relative rotary force is generated between a rotor 12 and a stator 13 so that the rotor 12 and a platen 1 rotate, an attracting force due to the magnetic force between the stator 13 and the rotor 12 acts in a direction of the rotational shaft 1a of the platen 1 but does not act in the radial direction of the rotor 12. Accordingly, a radial load due to the magnetic force is not applied to a bearing 9. The magnetic forces acted in the directions of arrow C and C' are equal to each other to cancel each other. Thus, the load of the direction of the shaft 1a is not applied to the bearing 9. Therefore, even if a structure that the stator 13 and the rotor 12 are not coated is formed, the rotary load of the platen 1 does not increase.
